i love the dusty garage note in this one.
Just a random thought....
If you own this fragrance or have a sample, try this:
After spraying L'Air du Desert Marocain for about a half hour, breathe on the application point, then smell. Awesome, right?

The Tauerade? dusty garage note is actually a good description. I feel this dry, dusty note in many of Tauer perfumes, even when they are in different styles, like rose chypree and orange star, where it is almost overwhelming to my nose. And you are right that if you don't smell the application point, it is less evident, though still there.
But perhaps you are not talking about this. need to try ...
Less is definitely more with this fragrance. I will be trying that tomorrow...
My current top ten:
1. Spice and Wood
2. Noir De Noir
3. Musc Ravageur
4. Bois D'Argent
5. Aoud 1
8. Dior Homme Intense
9. Tobacco Vanille
I didn't think much of this scent initially, but with time I have come to more appreciate the art of LDDM. Interesting approach to smelling this after drydown. Thanks for the insight
"Tauerade" ...I like that.
How unusual! You mean to exhale on the place where you applied and then immediately smell? Maybe I'm misunderstanding. I have LdDM, so maybe I'll try that.
My Top 5!!!
1. 1740: Marquis de Sade, Histoires de Parfums
2. Sweet Redemption, by Kilian
3. Tirrenico, Profumi del Forte
4. Je Suis un Homme, Etat Libre d'Orange
5. Derby, Guerlain

"It's alright to flirt with the idea of giving up, so long as you don't." --Me
This scent is one of my favorites and love to sniff it all the day (if applied in my wrist).
Please check out my selling list:
YSL Opium homme EDP, Rive Gauche pour homme, Villoresi Uomo, Dior Homme vintage, Body Kouros, Guerlain homme intense etc.

"Thank GOD for the nose, for without it we would not be enjoying these beautiful created Scents"
Still spending time with this one (got a sample from Luckyscent)...liking the Moroccan desert vibe thus far. The only neg is its versatility aspect. Don't see wearing this to work, church, party etc.. Seems this is one for "me" time.

Ha! I do this with all of my fragrances (a closet app point breather)-- the heat and moisture bring out amazing results sometimes
Currently testing this - amazing stuff. Would agree that the Cedar plays a key role. Almost an unsung hero, operating in the background, allowing the spicy notes to shine
LDDM is one of my favorites. For some reason, I can't wear it very often, but I always enjoy it when I do.
I must try this to see for myself. Tauerade.....dusty garage????????
Andy Tauer is an amazing perfumer. I have a ton of respect for the way he works and runs his business.
I don't like everything he's created, but i do love many.
LDDM is not even in the Love category for me though. I NEED it. I have still the original plain bottle, a finished one from the pentagon packaging, a current from the pentagon packaging, and 1 from the new packaging.
I will try your trick and see what its all about!
...the "new" packaging? What changed? God, I love Tauer's pentagon bottles.
Really useful tin - I bought Rose de Kandahar after sampling both, but Lddm is on the list as well!
I have done the exhale method on a number of different fragrances. Even after you can't smell the fragrance some 10 hours later...if you apply some hot breath to the area of application, the fragrance just jumps off the skin. Just did it with Frank 2 LA right now, pretty cool :-)
Amazing perfume but unfortunately not versatile. I have been using my decant for years planning on buying a full bottle but I honestly know I'll have that decant for another 2 years or more.
For Sale or Swap: Terre D'Hermes
Actually I find it very versatile. Winter, fall, spring...day and night. Even summer nights. Yes the opening is harsh but it slowly gives way. Eventually the amber/ambergris base just lingers on forever. Plus there is some floral in the mid. .....imo

Love LdDM too and wear it on workdays regularly. Definitely wear it more often on cooler days though. Tried several other Tauer frags that I didn't care for but LdDM is some kind of special.
