    Question Halston Catalyst Women/Possible Unisex?

    good day ladies,

having read a number of positive reviews by both ladies and gents, could i ask of your opinions please?

some people have compared it to kouros which sounds really intriguing. most reviews here seem to have been written by men and many obviously see it as a mens frag, too.

i'd be much obliged to read your descriptions.

do you think it might be suitable for the undersigned enthusiast of new york, grey flannel, vc&a ph, le male, giorgio, and polo?

is it a nauseating floral or an interesting chypre? for instance. what's its longevity/sillage?

i can only blindbuy it, hence the thread.

    regards,
    f

I recently got a bottle blind at a discounter for about $8. I thought it quite unisex. Monster sillage made it a little strong for my taste.

I really like this as an under-rated/inexpensive floral chypre. It's fairly old school, if a bit lacking in subtlety.

Catalyst by Halston(women) edt :Green, crispy floral with a burst of citrus opening, long lasting with a loud carnation -tuberose heart and amber-y - leather-ish base notes.(the pure parfum version is sweeter -not as citrus-y and loud as the edt)
The drying down of the edt reminds me the strong leather note of Cabochard Gres edt, those edt seems to be so strong and surely are wearable from both men and women (unisex)

I have tried Catalyst pure perfume in a sweet 4ml bottle:-) with a box:-)

This is feminine scent, this is green tuberose, i can not understand what have all people numbered this to have as notes:-) , and to me this smells like light airy green version of Chinatown! yes so if you want to consider this as unisex version of Chinatown i can agree,

This scent amazed me that is so beautiful and i have read so many bad comments about it that i expected some mess, some chypre too, which i hate, so i can confirm to everyone there is no galbanum, no oak moss no leather here, this is lovely green tuberose, with beautiful base that doesn't make it hard to wear, i did not even smell carnation flower, but there is something slightly spicy ,it is possible that some people mistakenly took it as galbanum,
Anyway i am so pleasantly surprised when i was expecting vent vert based on some descriptions hahaha

Its so beautifully balanced , nothing jumps out everything is smooth coherent, and overall impression is transparency if i could use a colour to describe it i would say its some narcissus yellow plus green combination:-) green notes are not soar or synthetic like they are done today..
