Default Dry with Spice and/or Smoke

I'm a big fan of Open by Roger & Gallet as well as Jacomo de Jacomo. What are some similar frags that have some combo of dark/dry/spice/smoke that these two have?

Hi capital, welcome to Basenotes! I too love Open by Roger & Gallet - amazing fragrance. I've never smelled Jacomo de Jacomo however it's on my 'to try' list.

One fragrance which I think you may like is Francesco Smalto Pour Homme - it's quite herbal like Open but has a great, smoky note which lasts throughout.

Another recommendation would be Gianfranco Ferre for Man - this has a similar dry, dark quality to R&G Open.

Both have very good projection & longevity so no issues there...!

To me, Amouge Epic Man embodies those qualities and is an absolutely fantastic fragrance.

L'Artisan Tea For Two is the quintessential dry, spicy, smoky fragrance.

Further recommendation: Versace L'Homme- dry up to almost being acidic and astringent, smoky-leathery, also slightly spicy, all in one.

Thanks guys. Would you say 273 rodeo drive for men falls in the same category?

    Hi and welcome capital,

    I also recommend you try:
    Jaisalmer by Comme des Garçons.
    7 by Loewe.

    Also, it's been a while but I don't remember 273 being spicy.

Since I've recently got a sample of it and I find it lovely in a spicy way, I'll add this:

I'm surprised no one has mentioned L'Air du Desert Marocain.
Dusty dry (in a good way).
    Oh so spicy.
