    Default Fresh green scents?

Would some of you please give me some advice on what might be some nice fresh green scents. I'm into learning about all the different scents out there. I've always liked spicy, but my experience is they don't like me. I always think they smell so nice on someone else. Anyway....I do like the fresh scent and green scents, so thought some of you could give me some direction to what I might try. Thanks!!

Check out Green Irish Tweed by Creed. I find it fresh and green... my wife likes it, too, and says it smells "sporty".

Of the scents suggested so far, is one longer lasting than another?? I want to be able to use it as a daily wear and hopefully have the scent last through the day.

Thank you for your suggestions. What are some good sites to go to for purchasing small samples of scents? Thanks.

There are several, my favorites are The Perfumed Court and Posh Peasant. There is also Surrender To Chance, which I haven't used, but have heard good things about.

2 of my favourite fresh, green scents :

    Original Vetiver from Creed

    Grass from Gap

I like green scents a lot. In mainstream, Chanel Cristalle and No 19 (especially Cristalle) for galbanum (green grassy) and flowers. There is also the not so expensive but very hard to find Paco Rabanne Metal and Jacomo Silences.

Then there are vetivers, which smell rather green-vegetal and very fresh: Chanel Sycomore, Encre Noire, Tom Ford Grey Vetiver, etc

    Hi Moonbeam -
Nanadebary Green is a nice one - light and airy.
I find Thierry Mugler Cologne to be very green, and it's fresh and nice.
Comme Des Garcons Calamus is leafy green, quite realistic.
Trefle Pur (Pure Clover) by Atelier is lovely and fresh.
Miller & Bertaux's Green, Green, Green and Green is very green, and has a prominent galbunum note, which is a traditional dry deep green note.
Sisley's Eau de Compagne is another classic realistic green fragrance with galbanum

I haven't tried these yet, but know Diptyque's Eau de Lierre is an ivy fragrance, and Penhaligon's English Fern has moss and clover.

I've used Surrender to Chance several times for samples. They're quick to ship, as is Posh Peasant.

There are a lot of good suggestions so far. Another fragrance to consider trying might be Aqua Allegoria Herba Fresca by Guerlain... to me it smells like fresh-cut grass, mint, and green tea. One of the greenest frags I have sampled.

I have also used The Perfumed Court and Surrender to Chance in the past and have had good experiences with both.

I agree with flathorn, you must try Calamus (Series 1: Leaves) by Comme des Garcons.

I love Silences by Jacomo. Also Cristalle.

There is one I've tried by Kenzo that was very fresh/green and I did not buy it at the time. Let's see--I believe it was Parfum d'Ete.

Philosykos by Diptyque is also incredibly green and fresh, it just puts a big smile on my face everytime I wear it. A "happy green" I suppose.

Another Diptyque which I'd forgotten is L'Ombre Dans l'Eau. Very leafy, but with just a touch of rose and hint of berry. Slightly herbal, but not spicy.

Maison Martin Margiela Untitled or the L'eau version (on me it lasts fairly well in the hot, humid summer, after several sprays; I usually spray once or twice only)

Vero Profumo Mito: check it out if you like the idea of Chanel 19, but you find it difficult to wear. There are some very nice flowers, but they never dominate.

I dread artificial, obviously synthetic notes--not that I have anything against the use of synthetics in perfumes--in green scents, and I am very picky about them. I liked these two.

+1 for Philosykos (there's an EDT, an EDP, a roll-on perfume oil and a solid perfume), and also L'Artisan Parfumeur's Premier Figuier (and the EDP version, Premier Figuier Extreme). I find these scents very similar, they are all green and sappy, but also woody and milky. Just beautiful.

In terms of longevity, I'd recommend the EDP versions of these scents, and possibly the Philosykos perfume oil. I've not tried it (though I'm buying it soon!), but I've tried the L'Ombre dans L'Eau oil, and that was pretty long-lasting

If you decide to continue your journey of fragrance exploration (please do! it's a LOT of fun), a couple of perfume houses I'd recommend exploring early on are Diptyque and Annick Goutal. They both do a wide range of fragrances, but many have strong green notes, so they'd be good stepping stones into the wider world of fragrances. Examples include the already mentioned L'Ombre dans L'Eau from Diptyque (leafy blackcurrant), and Annick Goutal's Le Chevrefeuille (grassy, tea-like floral) and Un Matin d'Orage (white flowers after the rain, leaves and damp earth and all - just beautiful)
