Bleu de Chanel, I smell it everywhere.
Thread: Most "smelled" in your area... |
I have to say that I have noticed that the most popular scent that is easily identified in my area (Augusta, GA) has to be Polo Black. My son says it's the king at his high school, and I have noticed at least two professional associates in their 50's wearing it.
What's big in your neighborhood?
Bleu de Chanel, I smell it everywhere.
Terre D'Hermes for the boys and Alien for the girls are probably the most popular in my area...
Le Male if I had to guess.
I don't smell cologne of any sort on hardly any guy here (upper midwest/Great Lakes region). The few I do occasionally smell, I have no idea what they are. I am generally not around guys under about 30, if that makes any difference.
I haven't noticed a dominant male fragrance (seems pretty diversified in my area), but there is this fragrance for women that EVERY professional lady wears. I don't know anything about women's fragrances so I have no idea but it is ridiculous how often I smell it in my office or on an audit.
Anything that tends to be advertised on TV at Christmas, generic fragrances.
The latest releases from D&G, Armani etc.
In my area probably some D&G or Armani for boys, yes Alien or may be Hypnotic Poison for girls.
for men - acqua di gio and d&g the one seem to be the most popular here.
Generic blandness. I can't put my finger on it. But here in the South not many dudes wear frags. Like things like Acqua di Gio and 1 Million you'd be surprised to see people wear. The dudes I know rock basic deodorants, the ones that wear frags go for cheaper stuff (lol one of friends was wearing Charlie Red a female frag, I then gave him Azzaro Chrome and Lacoste L.12.12. Blanc to up his game a bit). Several times I "know" I have smelled Chrome on some people, also Bulgari Aqua on a few people, but other than that it's tough to pin point a specific.
In general: AdG by far and then Bleu.
Among teens: 1 Million and a vanilla bomb I haven't been able to identify yet.
On the other hand, I've only ever noticed Fahrenheit two or three times over the past decade, but it stops me dead in my tracks each time, and I always turn to see who's wearing it as if to tip my hat to that guy... except I usually don't wear a hat. What a great scent.

Not many people in my neck of the woods (Seattle 'burbs) wear fragrances.
In NYC, well I smell so many fragrances during the course of a week. But, what stands out a lot is Bleu de Chanel, Aqua Di Gio, Polo Black, and Le Male.
AdG, One Million, and Le Male.
Current Top Five:
1. Creed Green Irish Tweed
2. Tom Ford Neroli Portofino
3. Hermes Concentre d'Orange Verte
4. Bond No. 9 New Haarlem
5. Creed Original Vetiver
Sometimes I smell a Le Male trail in the stairwell or parking lot and I smelled Bleu one time downtown.
When F1 was in town there were 100,000 people in town from all over the world and everyone that I passed was wearing a different fragrance. Very unusual and nice.

This. I'm in Chicago and I rarely smell cologne down my office building. I feel like I'm the only one. One younger guy on the train bathes in Light Blue PH and a Train conductor bathes in Polo )original Green) but that is it. Nothing in the office or while walking downtown.

I've only smelled Fahrenheit from two people in my area: my friend who is past 40 years old, and one guy at the mall in his late 20's or early 30's. The scent is unmistakeable, and the projection and sillage are quite impressive to be honest.

ADG still reigns king although I smell a few Polo Blue (I think?) and those light, airy types
Axe
Not sure what it is, but I smell a cocoa / chocolate / vanilla scent wafting around whenever I walk past teenage / early 20's boys. Whatever it is, it's designer and available everywhere and probably inexpensive.
Maybe it's the same vanilla bombAmong teens: 1 Million and a vanilla bomb I haven't been able to identify yet.
LOST! in scent and music
Hardly anyone in my office building wears cologne so I pretty much inhale whatever I wear for the day. One of my office buds was making fun of me for my obsession with scents said one day, "You stink". I took it as a compliment bc I know I smell good...lol
Alien and, surprisingly enough, Womanity is becoming more and more popular here...
Kurt smells like Teen Spirit
Not sure about a particular scent, but I smell gourmands more than fresh scents now.
LeMale and 1 Million
There is a foreman on our job site who bathes in LeMale. I can tell where he has been and passed through the site even though he is no longer in that spot. Funny too, because he is this big burly dude wearing a powdery vanilla scent on a construction site. Oh the irony![]()
On men something I don't know but a lot of guys seem to wear it, or at least similar fragrances, kinda darkish and a bit musky.
Else A*Men or similar type fragrances, always in the supermarket, for some reason. Also have smelled Mitsouko on old ladies, Fahrenheit 32, Fleur du Male or Altamir, L'Instant, etc. A colleague of mine wears Narciso R. Essence for women, smells good on her. Sometimes Le Male still. Cool Water (or GIT? :-p ) the other day.
