Bleu de Chanel
Im a highschool junior and im wondering which of these i should get, as theyre pretty expensive and i dont think i can get both.
Bleu de Chanel
Is the juice worth the squeeze?
Do you want an aquatic or a woodsy spice?
Frederic Malle Musc Ravageur
DIOR Homme Intense
Chanel Platinum Egoiste
Chanel Allure Edition Blanche
Jean-Paul Gaultier Le Male
Thierry Mugler Pure Malt
I like both scents, but The One by D&G has longevity issue on a lot of people myself included. Bleu de Chanel - despite being a fresh scent - lasts longer on my skin. If you can sample both, do it. My personal preference: BdC easily over The One.
Bleu de Chanel
Why get either? Do you like them both? Which do YOU like better? Get that one!
Bleu, unless you can deal with the horrid longevity of The One, which otherwise is a nice frag.
I like both. But go with Bleu
BdC by miles.
I have and like both, but I'd recommend Bleu simply because it does project and last longer.
1. Le 3me Homme - Caron
2. Yatagan - Caron
3. Van Cleef & Arples Pour Homme
4. Dolce & Gabbana pour Homme
5. Kouros - YSL
6. L'Anarchiste - Caron
7. Xeryus - Givenchy
8. V.I.P. Special Reserve - Giorgio Beverly Hills
9. The Dreamer - Versace
10. Nobile - Gucci
another for BdC because of the terrible longevity and projection of The One
-Cologne is the only fashionable thing that fits me! (Me, circa 1997-present)
Neither is worth any investment, IMO. I recommend looking for other options at the same or lower price points.

Bleu by far
Bleu de Chanel
"Ever get the feeling you've been cheated?" John Lydon
Definetly Bleu. The One's projection and longevity is just...how do I say it...F***ING AWFUL.
If you are high school junior, I'd recommend Bleu - it's just going to be so much more appropriate for almost any situation you will likely be in and it is so much more refined than the harshly slapped together The One that for me, it is hardly a debate.
If you are getting a citrus, why don't you consider:
Hermes Concentre Eau D'Orange Verte - it will make you the best smelling guy in your school
Chanel - Allure Homme Edition Blanche - a little tartier lemon and tonka bean for longevity and sweetness.
Best of luck in your search.
Exploring the Art of Smelling Good
"If a fragrance is too perfect or too pretty, it becomes boring. Fragrances – like people – have to have some kind of imperfection." - Frederic Malle
The One is a far superior scent, to me. It smells better than Bleu, is less synthetic, and is just a more rounded composition.
But . . .
The One has well documented longevity issues, while Bleu lasts and lasts (at least on my skin). Considering your age, finances, the fact that Bleu is far from bad, and the fact that Bleu probably smells more familiar to most high school girls, I'd suggest Bleu.
Current Top Five:
1. Creed Green Irish Tweed
2. Tom Ford Neroli Portofino
3. Hermes Concentre d'Orange Verte
4. Bond No. 9 New Haarlem
5. Creed Original Vetiver
The One is miles ahead of Bleu , which IMO is very generic and boring . I just can't think of a positive adjective that goes along with Bleu . It isn't sexy , nor special , definitely not jaw-dropping . It is just another scent , meh .
If you want a good one from Chanel I suggest Egoiste .
Bleu de Chanel for sure! Smells better and has way much better longevity and projection. But that's just my opinion.
The One -- it's complex and unique. On my skin, it lasts 8+ hours by doing close sprays.
Bleu de Chanel is a synthetic mess.
My Top 10
1. Amouage Homage Attar
2. Serge Lutens - Muscs Koublai Khan
3. YSL M7
4. Serge Lutens - Ambre Sultan
5. Chanel Egoiste
6. 24 Gold by Scentstory
7. Amouage Epic Man
8. Amouage Jubilation XXV
9. Bond No. 9 New York Oud
10. Serge Lutens - Chergui
"A beautiful fragrance to the nose is like good jazz music to the ears, great food to the mouth, and Megan Fox and Jessica Alba to the eyes..."
If The One had any longevity at all, I'd go there...but since it doesn't, another vote for Bleu.
"We don't fail because we aim too high and miss, but because we aim too low and hit" - Les Brown
"When you're all alone, when no one is watching, and there's no one around to impress, that is who you are" - Greg Laurie
Not keen on either but I'd probably prefer BdC.
There are much better choices out there. Buy Bleu de Chanel if you want to smell like a lot of other guys or a just cleaned locker room or be labeled "the cologne guy". You might want to sample Platinum Egoist while you're at the Chanel counter, if you're looking for a girl pleaser.
I have a firm favorite, but I'm not going to tell you what it is because I'm 54 and I'm not you. My 19-year-old nephew has the opposite firm favorite, but though he is nearer your age, he still isn't you.
Both fragrances are commonly available, so I would think you could find a store selling them easily enough. So one day, have a spray of one and spend the day with it to see how it develops, then another day do the same with the other. You should be able to work out which one you prefer easily enough - and you should enjoy the process too

Original Egoiste or Platinum Egoiste? (They're very different)If you want a good one from Chanel I suggest Egoiste
Get both: Bleu during the day and The One during the night.
BdC...unless of course you like the constant smell of sugary cream soda invading your nostrils. :-)
D&G The One has terrible projection and longevity, even though it smells amazing. Bleu de Chanel lasts longer and projects pretty well.
The sense of smell, like a faithful counsellor, foretells its character.
In my opinion, Bleu has a slight bit more class, individuality and versatility.
The One...smells sexier
Bleu.. It smells great, is non offensive when you are close to others, and the females seem to really like it.
Bleu de Chanel.
It smells fantastic, projects big, lasts a long time, and garners compliments. Oh, and it has a sweet magnetic cap.
"I am a robot and I like cheese"
1. Axe Kilo
2. Lectric Shave
3. Vicks Vapor Rub
4. Febreze Pour Homme
5. Preferred Stock
D&G The One is an amazing scent IMO. Get this and take it to school with you - re-apply it half way through the day.
