Default Anyone else like Nuit Etoilee?

Annick Goutal's Nuit Etoilee was listed on Parfum1's website as their best selling men's fragrance. I was kinda bored at the time and had a 20% cc do I decided to blind buy it. Kinda hard to describe but I'm really diggin' it and have worn it twice in the last week and both times got multiple compliments.

Anyone else use this and can explain what kind of scent this is (marine, gourmand, etc..) because I'm terrible at picking out notes or descriptions?

Haven't used it since I bought when it first came out, but I like it.

I sampled it and found it pleasant on the nose but it didn't feel bottle-worthy to me. Glad to hear you're enjoying it, and the blue bottle is cooler than many of the blue fragrances around these days.

I've gone through most of a bottle. To me, its better than Norne. I really enjoy it.
It was a calculated risk. Unfortunately, I'm bad at math.

This was the one bottle on my Christmas list, and I'm so glad it made it's way under the tree. Afraid I can't help out much with breaking down the notes, but it is quite unique.

I was very close to buying it, I had the bottle in one hand and my nose buried in my hand where it was sprayed, walking to the counter close. To me, it smells like a cold breeze, minty, herbal fresh notes are dominant. Neither marine (calone etc) nor gourmand.

I did not buy that day because dominant herbals turned a little bit sour and close to anise (which I don't like at all) on my skin.

But I would happily own a decant rather than a full bottle.

I found it smelled like an orange-pine car freshener.

May I revive an old thread? It's because after dismissing Nuit Étoilée when it first came out, I had occasion to retest it the other day and this time it caught on and I am loving it--the edt is what I am wearing. I call it Encens Flamboyant Jr. It smells similar to me, if more fresh and less incensy, and evokes a cold night in the Adirondacks with the cold represented by the mint enhanced by the smell of pine trees all around. And yet there is something warming about it. Maybe it's the immortelle and amber. It's really unisex. I love that Goutal has so many gender-neutral perfumes, even though the bottles differ for marketing purposes. I am a woman and I prefer the square bottles when available.

    Notes according to Goutal:
    citron, sweet orange
fir balsam, everlasting flower (immortelle), Siberian pine, iris
    amber

Not a fan of the edt which was too citric on me, but the edp is wonderful to my nose. Pine, mint, incense. I can definitely see the relation to Encens Flamboyant, another favorite.

My interest has been sparked again in this one. I guess I need to dig it out and revisit it. I think I only have the one in the blue bottle if I am not mistaken.

The blue bottle is gorgeous. They don't seem to use individally coloured bottles any more.

I still need to try the edp.

I think the blue bottle is the edp. I second Fiveoaks' description, and I love it!

I only know the edp and I love it, unique fragrance. Mint and pine, but a warm scent.
