    Default Nasomatto Black Afgano review

applied this tonight after the gym to both my l wrist and a few places on my sweater via the sample swab stick....the opening and drydown remaim linear.....the only thing i really get out of this frag is a more skankier version of nasamatto absinthe.....to me black afgano smells like vanilla/tonka bean base with a skanky overtone(it does not smell like hash).....the areas that i applied to my sweater are hard to notice because i applied it light then went out to a greek restaurant so my shirt smells like food odors now.

troubleshooting this frag,,,maybe i applied it to light and maybe i would really be better through an atomizer..maybe someone used a pipette from absinthe and used it to decant my sample. being that the sample volume was so small any contaminate could have altered my sample......or maybe i am paranoid...its funny thought, when i open up the vial and smell it directly it does not smell like my old absinthe sample.
14 sprays of DRAKKAR NOIR should do it

Definitely get an oud smell from BA. It is a nice fragrance but ridiculously over priced. You know, I get a BA vibe from scentstory's 24 Gold.

i never tried black afghano but it's just not appealing to me.

from what i hear, i suspect that it's not very safe, it's a bit bizarre, dirty and musty.

and the price point is unappealing for something that seems hard to wear.

It was one of the weirdest smelling scents I have encountered, and in this case that is not good... Very scary stuff, IMO.

I don't think black afgano is a fragrance that is easily accepted by the Western world...it's too much for us to handle it....this is not your acqua di gio fragrance

Yes, I agree it is not Acqua di Gio and it very well could be difficult to accept by some, but in my case I can accept many off the beaten path kinds of scents (many in my Top 10 are hardly tame) but definitely not this one. There is "good" weird and there is "bad" weird. Black Afgano is bad weird, IMO.

Is more smoky and woody than you describe at your OP-maybe you are even lucky to have a sweeter, toned one instead of a dry incense!

I remember really liking this when I gave it a try in Vegas. Reading all these opinions makes me want to try it again just to be sure I smelled what I thought I smelled.

Doing a split of the giant 2000ml bottle would seem to be the only way for it to not be ridiculously overpriced. I'm looking at you, US BN'ers.

I 'wore' it last night after decanting some! It has a nutty element to it which I haven't seen anyone mention before.

This is funny how things go because a month ago there was a thread with a lot of replies praising it and now this one seems quite on the negative either way an interesting fragrance and at the least very well worth a sample for any fragrance head. I wasn't a fan at first but theres just times when this stuff is perfect and I seem to enjoy it more each time particularly in the cooler weather.

Receving compliments from it doesn't hurt either. I agree its pricey but it is an extrait and one spray gives me good projection and longevity all throughout the day and into the night so you find even a few mls is going to last you a long while especially since its not a scent you would/want to wear every day.
