As far as I remember it is a cheap smelling rose. I didn't like it. There are many better cheap alternatives..
Thread: Tea Rose |
Anyone wear this? Not sure if I find it too feminine. Longevity and projection are Beastly. Pretty linear. Straight rose scent

It smells really authentic and quality for such a cheap fragrance, sadly the note of tea rose turns into piss on my skin, if it works then I'm going to wear it anyday
Btw, this is one of the most highly regarded rose soliflore in the community and I cannot disagree
I never heard of this. Sample Alert!
Had a female colleague who wore this, if this is the one from Perfumer's Workshop.
Too loud, sharp, and simple for me. I got it for $10 at Marshalls, but have never used it.

I like the smell, just not on me. It gets use as an air freshener in the downstairs loo.
I dont find it cheap and it does not turn nasty on my skin. My only question is whether or not its too feminine. Again this is probably the loudest hardest projecting fragrance I have tried. This thing will choke out any Montale known to man. Longevity is strong on this puppy. 1 to the neck and your reaching out and touching folks!!!

I like florals on men. But traditionally rose soliflores are considered feminine, so, if you are afraid of people's stereotypes, this will indeed smell feminine to some. Most others probably aren't able to distinguish notes, so to those you'll simply smells nice and clean.
But if you want rose, you can also try Anais Anais, which is also a loud rose, but a little drier and soapier, hence more traditionally masculine.

Try Malle Une Rose instead. Having glanced at your wardrobe I think you may like it.
I got some too .... its ok , has strength & lasts but i wont wear it myself .
I wont give it to my gf , cause there are many better ones to share with ..
I won't decant any for my mum or female relatives , because it just seems unfinished to my nose .
Im going to experiment with it , add some warmth & wood in the base & mess about with it .
One for the Blenders group .

For an hour or two it's like a florist's shop but then there is balance between a tea note and a rose one. At that point it could be unisex. You need to give it time before judging it, and the opening is much stronger than a couple hours later so olfactory fatigue can be an issue. The drydown is also natural smelling to me. Some have claimed a bad reformulation but I don't know what I've got though I think it's fairly new (last 5 years or so).

I was really surprised at how much I like this scent. I bought it cheap at TJ Maxx based on some positive reviews I had read. Very authentic rose which I wasn't expecting for the price. I like wearing it alone and also in combination with a few of my other fragrances.
I don't have a signature fragrance. My signature changes a little bit every day, why shouldn't my fragrance?
I love this fragrance, and wear it myself even though it has a kick like a mule. I remember when it was first launched in the UK (1972?), Selfridges reeked of it. It was the first time that a lot of Middle Eastern people were visiting us, and all the Arab men wore it. As far as I am aware, it hasn't changed that much.
