    Default Macassar by Rochas vintage

Does reformulated Macassar by Rochas still have strong projection and longevity compared with vintage(Rochas Macassar) or its a weak like acqua di gio or its a strong as a Nasomato Black Afgano?

On my skin the reformulated has better longevity and projection. (though i like the vintage smell more) - both are a million miles away from Aqua di gio.

I have not smelt the reformulated edition, but if i come across it i willl buy it on the spot. Macassar is so beautiful that even a reformulation that recalls the original will be sufficient for me. So far, one of the hardest frags for me to acquire, sadly.

I do not own this fragrance but a colleague does, and he wears it often to work. He purchased the re-formulated version not too long ago and I perceive that it has very goo sillage at about 3 feet for about 3 hours. Longevity is longer of course but closer to the skin after the 3 hours. In my opinion, it lasts longer than the original Acqua Di Gio. Macassar is a great smelling, green scent. Very masculine. Unless you have very dry skin, you should get above average longevity and projection from the re-formulated version.

Well on my skin: say first 1-2 hours the projection is something like 3 meters (10 feets) . Just an estimate. But let's put it this way: in my collection only following scents project equal or better than reformulated Macassar:

    Antaeus vintage
Van Cleef & Arpels Pour Homme
    Kouros vintage
    Bijan for men

Apart from projection, also Macassar leaves a noticeable trail behind (sillage).
Applies both vintage and reformulated version.
