Either way you should be happy IMO.
I can never make up my mind when it comes to fragrances and now Im trying to decide between Allure homme the original or the edition blanche or chergui by serge lutens.
I really am not a fan of the spicy accords but love sweet and/or fresh clean scents. Is chergui in any way spicy and which colognes would you recommend given my tastes between these three? I've heard all three have a little bit of spicy notes in them.
Either way you should be happy IMO.
They are worlds apart in every way...
light vs heavy
price
quality
decide what you're looking for at this time.
I do know my decision would fall to Chergui...which in my opinion is far better than the others.
New Haarlem. No way in the world could anyone consider Chergui to not have "spicy accords". Granted they are way well done, and much more interesting than Allure Homme.
I don't think Chergui is your style. You're probably better off with Allure Homme Sport, or Edition Blanche.
Chergui is sweet but not spicy nor fresh. It's a sirup!
Allure Homme is a lot more versatile compared to Edition Blanche. I'd say it's between Chergui and Allure.
The sense of smell, like a faithful counsellor, foretells its character.
Problem is, versatility was not one of the op's qualifiers. He did state that he is not a fan of spicy fragrances. This is taken from fragrantica "Chergui by Serge Lutens is a Oriental Spicy fragrance for women and men". Furthermore if you were to examine the Chanel Allure scents, you'd find that Allure Homme is the spiciest in the line, hence my recommendation of Allure Blanche.

yes.
IMO, Allurre would be my choice. But both are awesome. Do what makes you happy!
Allure Homme is safer, but Chergui is more creative and original.
Do try to sample, Chergui is not for everyone. I know it is not for me and surely not a blind buy relative to Allure.
