Just won on ebay a nearly full bottle of SL Louve at less than half price. I do own a decant which is nearly gone now. Going by the photograph a whole 1ml missing.

Donna, what a great score! Good for you!

I'm over-indulging this month. Sigh. This week I bought full bottles of Diptyque Tam Dao and Serge Lutens Bois de Violette.

Plus, I've been wanting to explore florals that are different from the ones I have and typically enjoy (i.e., spicy floral orientals and BIG WHITE MONSTERS). So, I'm getting a boatload of 1ml samples:

    Caron En Avion
    Tauer Carillon Pour un Ange
    L'Artisan Parfumeur Passage d'Enfer
    Parfumerie Generale Djenne
Histoires de Parfums: 1873 - Colette, 1826 - Eugenie de Montijo, 1804 - George Sand, 1969, and Vert Pivoine
Annick Goutal: Un Matin d'Orage and Grand Amour
Van Cleef & Arpels: Lys Carmin and Muguet Blanc
Ramon Monegal: Entre Naranjos, Impossible Iris, Mon Cuir, Mon Patchouly, and Cuirelle
Aftelier Perfumes: Candide, Honey Blossom, Lumiere, Secret Garden, Tango
Tom Ford Private Blend: Champaca Absolute and Neroli Portofino

I didn't go out shopping, but I made a swap and am pretty happy with it!
    I got:
    NIB Jicky EDP
Vintage "Y" by Yves Saint Laurent EDT
    Apecur by Houbigant EDP discontinued
Aliage by Estee Lauder thrown in as freebie

They are all new to me, except what I have read, so I can't wait to sniff these!

Oh kalli, it is a lemony civet fragrance and better in older formulations. Quite refreshing on some skins and complete stuffy stinkhouse on others. It is also a favorite for many BNers, Dr.G and Riannon are the first ones I think about. Please try it by all means!

I bought Crabtree & Evelyn Evelyn Rose (2003) 50ml EdP for $19.99 at TJMaxx. I know the fragrance -- thanks to 30R. -- and realize that it is inferior to their older Evelyn, but I did not want to leave empty-handed. I plan on layering it.

I may have to try it sometime then, stinkhouse or not. Glad you found a goodie!

OH, Salutations all, incredible find tdem1961!! I just received Yves Roche's So Elixir Purple (tuberose). Was in Wal-Mart and found Truth or Dare (another tuberose) and Toujours Moi. Not sure of the vintage of TM, it smells similiar to the 60's one, but much lighter. Stopped by the Perfume Shoppe and picked up a bottle of Montale's Black Aoud, and purse sizes of Sl Santal Majuscule and an old fave, Tubereuse Criminelle. Have more being mailed, Amouage Lyric and R Piguet Bois Noir. Also got a sample of Parfum d'Empire aziyade (I like it, I like it). Great prizes all.

Hehe, good deal on it, one can get a whole ounce for like 10 bucks. I got my 10 ml for around 5 bucks. Husband doesn't like it at first spray, said it smells like gasoline..I said, that's probably violet you are smelling, lol. As it dries down, we both agree, it gets better a bit. I got it in part to get to know the violet note more. Thanks Schilling!

    And the over-indulgence continues ...

Full bottle of Serge Lutens Un Lys -- I've been wanting this for a while now, and with Penny Lane's 25% coupon, this was a great time to do it.

Manufacturer's travel size (14ml) of HdP Vert Pivoine -- this is one of the success stories from the Not My Typical Florals quest. I'm not quite ready to commit to a full bottle yet, so the travel size is a perfect try-before-you-buy option (also from Penny Lane with discount).

Jicky is indeed all clean and lemony on me, it's almost an outdoorsy Shalimar on my skin. I detect a connection to that other famous stinkbomb, Kouros, and yet the latter smells like a weekend in bed with the one you don't take home to mother. Go figure.

If the item was as described and wasn't what you're looking for, why did you buy it?
Or did you not read the item description?

It was what I was looking for. But when you buy smth posted as nib you also expect the full bottle, this one is definitely leaking.

If the leak wasn't in the description, or if the wet box wasn't mentioned, you should get your money back!
I thought you meant you purchased it knowing that the box was sealed but wet on one side.

Lol, I don't remember that at all, that's so funny. I was thinking about Hillaires old thread of unsung treasures this morning and looked it up and thought that one sounded like it would be nice and it would be a pretty safe bet that I'd like it. They had it for $5.99 for a 1.7 oz. tester, you really can't beat that price. I'm going to have to pay more attention to the SotD thread from now on, lol.
