Default Creed is all you Need..

If all you had were the popular Creed scents, not only would you have enough cologne for every season, but also any occasion.

    Aventus
    GIT
    SMW
    MI
    OS
    OV
    Himalaya
    Virgin Island Water
    Royal Oud

If these were the only fragrances you owned, you would be swimming in compliments, and still manage to smell different from most. You could get a bottle of each for a little over 1k$ and would be set for quite awhile. I've been thinking of selling most of my collection and doing this.

I'm surprised Creed hasn't produced a pamphlet about which scents they sell are good for what climates, weather conditions, social occasions, etc. With their fan base, I can't imagine it not increasing sales.

I haven't found a Creed I consider worth purchasing, and I have a fairly large collection. I'm not saying they smell bad (although I do think some of them are really terrible) - they're sort of like an average designer house with prices 3-4x higher than normal. So no - Creed is not all I need.

But everyone has their own taste. I wouldn't tell someone not to buy Creeds if it makes them happy. Have at it.

This is the best way to explain it, they aren't as good as the advertisements claim them to be and mostly Americans buy them just for the status symbol. And all the hype through employees and hard fans who are like brainwashed drones is just too much.

Because in my view paying that much for something not worth it just so you could say it's an apple product puts it in the status symbol lineup. So yeah. On the other hand not everyone is so gaga over apple products and have common sense to get the bang for their buck with companies that actually provide for what they charge. That would be my point of view and nobody has to agree with it for all I can say.

In fact, I would have an almost complete fragrance wardrobe (except, of course, some of the better, more versatile and more creative releases from designer houses) if I only had REL, BDP, Tabarome (either Vintage or Millesime), GIT, OV and two or three more Creeds "pending further investigation" (and testing) in my fragrance collection.

Good or bad, controversial or not, over-hyped and even overpriced or not, I have to hand it over to this fragrance house: they certainly don't lack in variety and, also, quite a few timelessly classic highlights.

This would be the ultimate combo IMO if I could only choose one niche house, one designer and cover hot and cold weather.

I have GIT, SMW, Tabarome, Erolfa, OS, OV, Himalaya - and all I've been wearing all week is Joop Splash and Joop Homme Very Sexy in Pink and Joop Go.

I might wear Tabarome tomorrow, as I'm going to the beach and don't want to waste my Joops.

If I coud only own fragrances from one house, it would certainly be Creed. I completely agee that a great collection could be built out of nothing but Creed, but why limit yourself? Furthermore, my Creed collection looks a bit different than the ones you posted.

    Again, I must agree.

I like many other fragrances outside of the Creed line, however, my favorite 4 fragrances are; Creed Millesime 1849, Creed Aventus, Creed Green Irish Tweed, and Creed Royal Oud.

Thanks for reviving an old thread by a guy (Xerbia) that was proven to be a troll here, and when he was "outed," he bailed pretty fast from BN. Though I'm sure you weren't aware of this.
So I wouldn't take the original post too seriously.

I'm not sure why this is happening, but I've counted seven old Creed threads getting revived today as well as a handful of new Aventus threads popping up. It's not the end of the world, but still!

I agree with that. But, I could quite easily limit myself to three houses without any problem at all, Creed, Dior and Chanel.

I have had quite a few Creeds. I've sold, swapped or given away every one of them. At this moment I crave many fragrances, none of which are Creeds. They are for most part very nice, high quality and agreeable - and nothing more. When I think of masterpieces, I don't think of Creed.

I always giggle when I see the prices of the discontinued Creed frags. Genius branding for sure.

Creeds got some great stuff and when I first discovered the fragrance world it seemed like the name you heard over and over and I thought it was the bees knees but theres simply other amazing stuff out there. Whilst it might cover you for most occasions would be pretty boring just having that selection and if general compliments is all you are after then buy a flacon of Aventus and call it a day.

I always chuckle when people say Creed is bad or just plain boring. You guys know deep down that most Creeds do in fact smell good. I understand how some people want to venture off far into unheard of niche fragrances to smell different, even if it means smelling like cat litter and baby diapers, but in reality Creed is top notch.

Not at all, IMO. I do like GIT, and a couple others to a minor degree, but I could easily live without their offerings in favor of many others of all different popularity levels and price points. There is nothing wrong with anyone else loving Creed, but they don't impress me at all on the whole.

They are boring though...and I think if you did actually explore around more you would find better instead of limiting yourself to one house. Also, cat litter and baby diapers? I don't think you've actually smelled anything from another house have you...

Boring isn't always bad either, I have 4 Creed's and I think of them as some high quality boring stuff that I use when I don't feel like picking something that excites me.

Anyways, my point is they are not "top notch" especially in the fragrance world, they rank slightly above any given designer scent most of the time with me. From their made up back story to the whole image they project, they are all for show.
