Default Worth picking up Viktor and Rolf's Antidote?

Thinking of purchasing a 2.5 oz bottle for about $85, which I know is more than what it was going for when it wasn't discontinued. What do you all think?

I enjoy this one but I wouldn't pay that much for it. Not to mention that I purchased 2 bottles of it and had to return both because the spray mechanisms broke within a week on both. I exchanged them for 2 new ones and within a year the spray tops broke off the second two bottles. They still work, but you have to be careful that the top does not pop off and get lost.

    The juice is nice though.

I have had one bottle for well over a year and nothing wrong with the spray mechanism. Bad batch I guess?

    IMO definitely worth it.

The prices on this one are pretty high. $85.00 is a fair price.

I guess so because 4 bad sprayers is pretty ridiculous. Like I said, the sprayer still function fine, they just fall off all the time.

I got my 4.2 oz bottle Antidote last year for less than $85 -- a very enjoyable fragrance.

I have had a mini for who knows how many years and I rarely reach for it. It isn't bad stuff, just not a favorite.

middle of the road. not terrible but hell no 85 bucks. i tried to make myself like this one with i think the 20 plus notes listed but it has no identity. try to get a used bottle, should be less than that.

every now and then on ebay they have 2.5oz antidote bottles that sell for less than $30 because no one bids on them. Ive seen it happen twice.

I just checked ebay, no such luck right now. They are all going for about $145 except one, but it still has 6 days left one the bidding.

The sickening thing is that Costco had bottles and bottles of this stuff on sale for $20 each after Christmas 2 or 3 years ago. And yes, it was for the 2.5 ounce bottles, not the minis.

It's a nice fragrance, but I wouldn't pay that much for it. It has an Egoiste vibe to me which is around $85 for a bigger bottle.

It's ok but since it is a shameless copy of Cacharel's Nemo, I'm kinda detest it. For $85 you can do much better elsewhere

I have to disagree with first association. I have both Nemo and Antidote and the latter has only some slight similarities at base with Nemo which I personally like much more. I also think 85$ can be spent on something better than Antidote, even it's not at all a bad frag.

Nemo is the far superior scent, IMO. If it is a Nemo copy, then it is a very poor one to my nose...

It's a nice scent, but it sits very close to the skin on my skin, and doesn't last more than 6 hours on a good day. The fragrance is very well blended, giving off a cherry incense type vibe imo. I think it's similar to M7, or Kenzo: A Time for Peace. Personally, I don't think it's bottle worthy, because it's just kind of boring.
    My 3 Signature Scents:

    Rive Gauche Light (2004)
    Fahrenheit (1988)
    Paul Smith Man (2009)

I got a mini but found it too dense and sweet for my taste. I will say it doesn't smell cheap.

Antidote doesn't have the topnotes of Nemo which transitions seamlessly into the base. I find the top and the base of Antidote do not link well together

I would buy it for that price if i hadn't it in my collection. It's a pleasant scent. Imo better than the current Spicebomb. After saying that, i think i will wear it for a loooong time as my SOT.
edit: I noticed some had problems with the spray mechanism. I have too, with other of my 2 bottles. It can be used, but it leaks and doesn't work as it should.
