Thumbs up Viva la Bang! My new favorite, Marc Jacobs Bang!

So I bought it blind, it was on sale, I saw it and it called to me from the rack, the glorious and wonderful Bang! A peppery fragrance with a gorgeous dry down. It's everything I love in a bottle, pink, black, white pepper a touch of citrus and some wood, just heavenly.

People do complain about longevity, but honestly, I don't have an issue, 5 sprays give me a full 6-8 hour workday worth of wear. it's hard to describe but it gives you a unique citrus pepper, like pepper gains infused into lemon rind, just gorgeous stuff. It smells expensive. It's sillage isn't beastly but I can definitely smell it on myself and my clothes, it's a fragrance for young those intimate with you, sexy, sophisticated, perfectly balanced I'm so impressed. Do skip the wretched followup Bang Bang though, completely different scent generic and dull "sport" scent marketed to the masses.

I highly recommend, it's definitely one I'll always have in my collection. I pray it's never discontinued, I'd be heartbroken.

Glad you like it - Enjoy. Personally think this one is pretty awful.

I certainly agree that Bang Bang is significantly worse.

A perfume SA, who didn't have Encre Noire in stock, once suggested Bang Bang as an alternative.
I smelled it, he saw my face, and he apologised to me
He knew he didn't have anything close to EN, and after realising I wasn't gonna buy any old swill from him, he ordered EN for me.

Turns out he was very knowledgable (kudos, David Jones Brisbane CBD) but was obviously under pressure to make sales, so had to suggest poor alternatives (for shame, David Jones Brisbane CBD).

Sorry for the threadjacking; I get irritated when the rare SA that is knowledgable and passionate is stifled by sales targets and stock issues.

Yes, Bang is much better than Bang Bang, but Bang isn't FB worthy for me.

Bang smells like poor man's Hermessence Poivre Samarcande, it is cheaper with poor to average longevity on me, but not as round and complex as PS.

Bang Bang is really bad, it makes little baby cry.
