Thread: Small bottles do you get them? |
Like the 1.7, 1.3, and 1.0 oz ones do you get those or do you try and get 2.5oz+?

"A beautiful fragrance to the nose is like good jazz music to the ears, great food to the mouth, and Megan Fox and Jessica Alba to the eyes..."
I've recently started buying smaller bottles. I used to hate the thought of buying a 1.7oz, when for just a little more cash you can get twice as much juice. I've realized that with that amount of bottles/samples/decants I have, I'll probably never finish a big bottle.
Biggest available bottle purely because they offer a better £/ml value.
Life is too short to sample. Buy Blind| I am generally not interested in batch hunting or weak fragrances.

Depends on the fragrance and price!
No.
No, I've almost always went for the largest bottle size available.
I try to get the 50ml bottles when possible.

50ml is what I like best, easy to handle and to take, despite the fact that they're more expensive.

I almost always go for the smaller bottle. I feel like I would never finish a bigger one.
I usually go for the big bottle because of the pricing structure most houses use. But if the house uses a sensible pricing structure I will go for a smaller bottle. I would actually prefer a 30ml in most cases with the collection I have now. IMHO all scents should be offered in a 30ml size at a reasonable price but greed sets in both for the seller and the buyer. Such a waste...
1. Epic Man by Amouage (33 wears)
2. Leather Oud by Christian Dior (31 wears)
3. M7 by Yves Saint Laurent (27 wears)
4. Oud Imperial (black) by Perris Monte Carlo (22 wears)

Be who you are and say what you feel, because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.
If I have a choice, I go for smaller 1.0 (30 ml) or 1.7 oz (50 ml) size. Those seem to last me long enough. A few that I bought blind and that didn't work for me (like the "new" Polo green and Lapidus PH), I'm damn glad I got smaller and wasted less money.
Almost always smaller. I don't think I'll be finishing too many large bottles since I like to rotate every day.
50ml when available, 75ml for Creeds and Lutens when I can get them, only exception is 250ml Creeds that are not offered in any other size.
Almost aways the 100ml size. I actually just bought a 250ml flacon of Creed Bois de Cedrat. I have a very large collection, so I understand that I will probably not use 90% of what I own, but I don't want to have to worry about how much I use or if it will be discontinued, etc.
The price difference is usually small enough to make it hard to justify the smaller size.
99% of the time I go for the 100ml size. I prefer that bottle size both for the value and the visual.
I go for the largest bottle usually.
Is the juice worth the squeeze?
I prefer the 1.7 oz bottles. There's a chance I may actually finish them.
For me, it depends on both the price, and how quickly I think I am going to use it up. 50ml bottles make more sense from the point of view of oxidation, you'll finish the bottle way before it "goes off". They are also easier to take with you when you travel. If you are blind buying, they make more sense, especially when in the UK where I live a 50ml bottle and a small sample decanted by a 3rd party cost about the same. And I know this probably doesn't mean much, but they feel better in the hand.
Yes, 100ml bottles do tend to be a better deal. I'm not sure what my "cut off point" is where the cost savings of a 100ml bottle outweigh my normal preference for a 50ml bottle.
