Default suggestions for a spicy vanilla

Suggestions for a spicy vanilla oriental (designer only). If it comes in EdP all the better, but not essential.

    Helmut Lang EDP perhaps.

It's a tough one. While having a dose of vanilla, Helmut Lang EDP is also very floral and quite powdery. It's also more aromatic than spicy with rosemary and lavender. Musc Ravageur would be the obvious answer, but it's not a designer fragrance. Ah, I'm drawing blank.

A good alternative to Musc Ravageur would be Meharees and would definitely fit the description of what the OP is looking for, it's an EDP as well and can be had for 50 bones.

One of the Bruno Banani range of fragrances is very similar to Jaipur Homme. It's very well done and perhaps has less powder,(?)...it's a long time since I smelled it. I think it's the fragrance called Basic Man from 2000.Check their website for the notes. Fragrantica lists their fragrances but I think they have mistaken Banani Man for Basic Man, (which I believe was the second release). Perhaps german members can test them to find out which is the one similar to Jaipur Homme.
Another is Keora from Jean Couturier. This is a slightly spicier version of Shalimar.
Instinto from Krizia takes the spicy vanilla route, but it's extremely hard to find.

Is it the price range or that you don't like niche? If it's just price, the fragrance that I'd think would fit quite well for what you're after, it's A Lab on Fire: Liquidnight. $110 for 60ml

Diptique Eau Duelle is a vanilla mixed with spices, incense, and citrus. My favourite vanilla.

Eau De Baux but the Mona Vanille has quite a bit of clove and other spices.

I know it's not designer, but this would be my pick. Very unisex, It's not too strong - stays close to the skin, but lasts a long time.
It has the typical, high quality ingredients you expect from Diptyque.

If it must be designer, I'm in the Opium camp.
