    Default New British Shipping Restrictions

How are these new illogically paranoid shipping restrictions hurting you? I know specifically of one guy here on BN who bought an attar on EBAY and it was seized in customs in Heathrow. I have had several people say they couldn't ship out of G.B. anymore...

I've personally lost just over £1200 shipping splits internationally in the last two weeks. It wouldn't be so bad but I've only had one offer of help (thank you Rich!) and only 4 people who bothered to say thanks when I sent them a refund out of my own pocket.

Just means I can't ship abroad anymore when selling the odd fragrance on Ebay, which is a shame, as they often went for a good price. Luckily I've only shipped one very small item since the new restrictions came in (and before I was aware of them). Not sure if it arrived but so far the buyer hasn't been in touch, so I hope it did.

Someone could make a bundle of money offering to go around, collect up all the fragrance packages, and taking them over to France to ship world-wide. Uggg...What a mess. Things have gotten paranoid here in the States as well...I fight with the Post mistress b/c an Attar oil has no alcohol, and isn't going to explode on a plane any more than a vial of corn oil would...but all they know is no perfumes, colognes, etc. over seas

    Damn, Kron. That's awful, mate.
I'm hoping samples will slip through undetected...

New regulations with new headaches. A shame.

Stupid thing is you could buy a full 3.4oz bottle of fragrance at the Duty-Free shoppe, and take it with you on the plane, but a 1.5ml sample vial in a package can't be shipped.

I still bought a bottle of Chanel from ebay and it was delivered OK this morning with no hazmat labels or anything. I would imagine the actual regs are unworkable but it would be fines that would be troublesome as in the US. Quite difficult to not say who wasn't responsible with a return addy on the packet!!!

Fortunately I haven't lost anything just yet, but I have a couple of samples that I want to get rid of or swap on here soon. My best chances are with readers in the US, which is clearly now not an option... FFS!!
