Default Atlantic by Strange Invisible Perfumes....Try It!

This is one relatively unknown fragrance in the classic masculine vein that I highly recommend.

It begins with an almost sharp, aggressive citrus driven by cool peppermint, transitions into a slightly smoky, clear incense heart (while retaining much of the citrus from the opening), and finally warms up to a soft base of amber, incense, and maybe even a touch of vanilla.

The ingredients are top notch, and it is well-balanced without any missteps or unintentionally rough edges.

It's a PERFECT day-time scent for work or the office--it means business in a friendly way, and exudes a professional air.

The sillage is appropriate--present without over-extending itself.

I've searched for a classic masculine fragrance for some time--owning Heritage and Bel Ami--sampling many others including Eau Sauvage and Pour Monsieur--but they never quite worked for me. They seemed a little 'too mature' for me, or maybe just a little outdated.

But Atlantic hit the mark. It totally has that classic masculine appeal while managing a relaxed modernity that I felt the others lacked.

I'm a big fan of Lorenzo Villoresi's Uomo. I would classify Uomo as a citrus herbal/aromatic in the classic masculine tradition. Atlantic has a similar feel--though I would say that it's Uomo's smokier, amber counterpart, and at least in the opening, its more aggressive counterpart.

If Uomo is for Spring and Summer, Atlantic is Fall and Winter (but I think it would be fine all year round).

Anyway, I just wanted to shed some light on Atlantic by Strange Invisible Perfumes. It deserves it.

Los Angeles. I've tried about eight of their perfumes and liked their Fire and Cream as well as Fair Verona.
