Rose 31 for sure.
Which one of these are your favorites? I have sampled Rose 31 and Vetiver 46, and am really considering a full bottle of Rose 31.
Rose 31 for sure.
I sought out both Rose and Vetiver when I first heard of Le Labo a couple of years ago when I heard of a stockist in Sydney. Rose and vetiver are two of my favourite notes, so these fragrances went to the top of my to-try list.
I was somewhat underwhelmed with the two of them, and indeed the majority of the rest of the range, with the notable exception of Bergamote. I get more vetiver from the drydown of Bergamote than I do from Vetiver.
Bergamote 22 is wonderful.
I don't get this house, but these are possibly decant worthy:
The best to my nose is Santal 33. Followed by Rose 31 and Bergamote 22.
Current favorites_____Black Tourmaline_____Gucci Pour Homme II_____Memoir Man_____Tuscan Leather______Montale Aoud and Pine_____Sel Marin_____Invasion Barbare_____Tonka Imperial____Dior Homme Intense_____L'Humaniste____Santal 33_____Bois d'Argent_____Nio_____MFK Oud_____Lumiere Noire_____Bois d'Encens_____Cuir Ottoman
I own Rosé 31 and Bergamote 22, I will eventually own Santal 33. Iris 39 is very nice too. Another 13 is terrible IMO.
I dunno. I have bath and body products, from hotels, in Bergamote 22 and Rose 31 and I like having them for occasional use. They're fine for that. Nice, but not knocking my socks off. The Rose 31 body lotion is great for my wretchedly dry skin, so I would give the functionality of the product high marks.
It looks like fun to have so many samples. Something about samples, it's so cool to have a bunch of them.
Most definitely Rose 31 and Santal 33

I own and am a big fan of Patch 24 (big blast) and Oud 27 (very dirty, turning into an elegant woody later). These are the most challenging, but perhaps for that reason the most interesting. I also love, and will buy, Iris, a realistic, rooty iris.
As others have pointed out, the side products are also great, and would be another way to enjoy a frag if you don't want to buy the expensive bottle. The lotions are very rich, and they keep the smell well - they are no substitute for the perfume, but they are very satisfying. I also use their bath oils in the shower.
Rose 31, Santal 33 and Oud 27 are very good fragrances and possibly bottle worthy. I'm still debating full bottle purchases on them. I enjoy Iris 39 very much as well but sometimes I feel it is a little too dense to be wearable on a regular basis.
Patchouli 24 is worthy but barely. Rather like it but have not pulled the trigger. Oud 27 is also nice but it reminds me of something I already have so no... Mostly underwhelmed by others I have tried. Nice but not FBW.

The IFRA can bite me!
I am going to sample one of these fragrances each night until they are all sampled. I sampled Bergamot 22 tonight, and I must say it is quite pleasing: I get citrus and vetiver. I will likely not purchase this one though.
I like Patchouli 24 a lot.
You didn't get it, but I loved Poivre 23 when I tested it recently.

The best of Le Labo is Poivre 23. What a fantastic scent. Rose 31 is beautiful and it's probably the only fragrance that I want to buy a second time. Bergamote 22 is mediocre at best. It's a good citrus fragrance and nothing else. Get Light Blue for Women instead. Patchouli 24 is a rough and animalistic patchouli with what a friend accurately described as a "raw meat" accord. Santal 33 is overly incensy to a fault- Le Labo's house formula seems to be a spicy incense, and it becomes overdone in Santal. There are better vetivers than Vetiver 46, it's just not a distinct interpretation of the note. The worst fragrance from Le Labo is Fleur d'Oranger 27. Just horrible.
