D&G The One is a really nice fragrance for work and going out. It's not a really loud fragrance and doesn't last long, but during those 4 hours or so it's really hard to beat.

I was looking for something that I could wear during the day in afternoon. Because I don't tend to go out alot, and if I do then I guess I'll buy a "going out" cologne.

I honestly just didn't want more than two or three scents. Because it might have seemed over kill or too expensive to juggle that many and figure out when to use them.

I would say ADG over Issey Miyake. But definitely look at PE 360 Red instead of ADG, it will save you some money. Even with your discount from work, I believe you can find lower prices overall if you just look around.

So, lets say that I could go with any cologne that isn't terribly expensive, which would you suggest?

Personally, I wouldn't go near Dolce and Gabbana Light Blue for men with a 10 foot pole.

I cannot recommend Cuba Red enough. Don't be deterred by the $5 price tag, it comes damn near close to smelling like a niche fragrance. If you got that, plus, say, L'eau d'Issey Miyake, you're set. Also look out for Polo Black or Double black, both great in my opinion.

Is brit a good all season cologne, though. Or is it only good for fall/winter?

I I had to have a spring/summer cologne and a fall/winter cologne from my list I put in the OP, which would fit best into each respectable catagory?

From your list, Aqva, Brit, & Cool Water. And maybe The One for evenings. I'd also throw in Dolce and Gabanna pour Homme as a good everyday scent. (I'm guessing if you have access to D&G's The One, you probably have this one as well).

    Prada Infusion D'Homme.

Good everyday versatile scent. Can wear it to work, wear it with a hoody or wear it with a suit at a formal event.

L'eau de Issey (Issey Miyake) pour homme and Cool Water are nice, women like 'em, but they're somewhat seasonal. Ideally warm weather appropriate. The Issey Miyake is close to Aqua di Gio but cheaper.
Two that will work all year round, informal or formal, would be Prada Amber and Esencia Loewe. Sample them if you can. Great frags. The E.L. has *zero* negative reviews here on BN.
The suggestion of YSL LaNuit is pretty good too... sweet, but women love it.

Some of those you name don't have the longevity you want.
Like which ones? I was thinking of having the issey miyaki for a summer scent and maybe burberry brit for a fall/winter scent. Unless there's a better winter scent from the list I put up. Like I said, I don't mind having a few scents (one for different times of the year or times) I just gotta figure out which ones I should get for that, and if I can get them from my work all the better.

    From that list
D&G 1 because it smells great, but doesn't last so have a atomizer.

Burberry Brit nice long lasting scent, but it's a bit powdery.

One that is not on the list but I use often for work is Versace The Dreamer.

From this list, I'd choose Burberry Brit or CK Eternity.

So you are looking for 1 to use all the time and 1 that's for night or clubs.
Not overpowering, is masculine, but not super in your face. And something that makes the ladies smile and blush.
Lasts a acceptable amount of time without reapplication.

From your list, my pick is L'Eau d'Issey Pour Homme; gets compliments and would last nicely through the day, but its kinda warm oriental woody that I love but may not be everyone's cup of tea. A girl working in my office would literally put her nose on my arm and wrist even time she pass me if i was wearing Issey. Drakkar though old school is a deadly night scent if clubbing is your thing, no longevity to speak of though.

Eternity is versatile and goes a long long way and Brits is an nice option for day wear too.

I would try Terre d'Hermes for day and perhaps Armani Code or Gucci Guilty Intense for nights too. Have fun.

Issay miyaki pour homme - I have never liked this one. It's too strong and gives me a headache. The 2009 summer version is a nicer, "softer," greener version. Although I doubt they have that where you work. This one's usually love or hate.

Burberry Brit - A bit powdery but it's a nice fragrance overall. Not overpowering, but not weak. Definitely another soft fragrance. I like it and have considered purchasing it myself...but never pulled the trigger on this one.

Davidoff cool water - Not a huge fan, but most people like it. Just your everyday fresh scent. Everyone knows it, which isn't a bad thing. I think I just got TOO used to smelling it on a friend of mine.

Bvlgari aqua - Avoid. Can't stand this one; it's a strong aquatic but smells like ocean water. Definitely not the best fragrance out there.

Drakkar noir - Not bad, but I feel it's outdated. I still use it from time to time, but I wouldn't really recommend it.

Eternity Calvin Klein - Older fragrance but it's definitely not outdated. It smells great and is very versatile. Honestly, from your list this is one of the best.

Dolce and glabana light blue - Another aquatic. Unlike aqua, this one isn't too strong. It's actually very nice. Somewhat fresh, but overall it smells great.

Dolce and galbana the one - Probably one of my favorite. Unfortunately the rumors about it not lasting on your skin are true. I've worn it in hot humid climates (Brazil) and cold temperatures (Stockholm). It doesn't last either way.

Try out Burberry Men, Boss Bottled, Lacoste Pour Homme.
