Default Dissecting a rare Gem: DAVIDOFF, by Davidoff (1984)

"So cheap the packaging! So indescribable the juice!"

Here is one of the hidden gem of the world of perfumery, a very good quality scent in a somewhat cheap package (bottle and box):
    "DAVIDOFF" (1984)

(now discontinued, aka Davidoff the original, or Davidoff the first, or Davidoff by Davidoff)
This is a vintage full bottle. Since there is no bar-code, we can at least assume it's before 1995 (and probably earlier).
Since there are not so many pictures aroung consider these as a reference.

Aside from the grey colored cap and sprayer I actually don't mind the packaging. Packaging aside, I agree the juice is truly something special and am very happy to have it in my collection. It is probably the best thing ever released by Davidoff, IMO.

I own a 50 ml bottle and I find this fragrance absolutely great. My only concern is the sprayer which is not so good ...

It's a great frag, however they are few opportunities to wear it with aplomb without causing room clearing fallout.

A tad lighter (& imminently more wearable) version of this, and equally hard to find, is Lancetti Uomo.
