    Check out this article.

    Never done this myself.

I've tried a few from Jean Marc. I have no idea where the brand comes from but they can be found in supermarkets here.

Adore Me was good enough to try more of their stuff. A pretty good riff on J'adore.

Earth Man, a copy of Terre d'Hermes, also not bad.

Umbro Fragrances, though there is quite a bad reputation involved, though I don't know if they even qualify for this category, have a pretty good Cool Water/GIT clone, as well as another fragrance that combines, albeit in a rather sickly synthetic way, the sugariness of Le Male with the dirty, musky leatheriness of Givenchy Gentleman.

I've smelled some a few years aback, before I got into this hobby. Even then I thought they were repulsive.

I own a few actually. I use them as room and car spray. The CK One copy (can't remember which one) is actually really good.

The recent ones I've tried are very good for $1: "Creed" and the Paco Rabbane PH ones in particular, though I think the 1 Million one was quite good as well.

One of the guys at work would buy these at the dollar store. They're all knockoffs of popular stuff of course. He wore "Cool Water" for a while until someone threw it away when he wasn't looking. (It wasn't me.) Then he started wearing "Paco Rabanne P H". It was rank, whether it was a faithful knockoff or not. I just told him straight: Dude, that smells bad. And he stopped wearing it.
I gave him a sample of Sova the other day and he seems to like it but I think I may be creating a monster. Maybe I should see if I can find his "Cool Water".
