    Default Tobacco fragrance recommendation

This has been getting more attention than usual but I'm looking for a tobacco fragrance. I currently have vintage DG pour homme, but to my nose that is more soapy than what I'm looking for. Still a great scent tho. I'm looking into these:
Tom Ford TV - I love Tom ford. I have grey vetiver, Tom ford for men, and will be getting extreme in the future. This seems like the holy grail of tobacco fragrances. But it is pricey and I don't know about its versatility. And I've never smelled it.
Spicebomb - have read that some think this is similar to TV, also read that isn't similar at all. I tried it on a card and it initially seemed really sweet. Maybe for an everyday?
Eau de baux - also have read this is very similar to TV. Seems like a bargain
Pure Havane - I got mostly a bright cherry, not too much tobacco. I found that I really liked it when I first smelled it, then meh after a second sniff.
Opium - this has just gotten on my radar. This might be more incense than tobacco tho.

If you have any recommendations besides these, or comments about above, feel free to share. I need help!

Im sure there are loads out there but of the ones i have tried, pure havane is nice after about 30mins when the cherry phase passes on my skin i get nothing but straight up sweet tobacco for hrs.

Tom Fords TV is pretty good but its high proced, kinda linea but so high quality. Mostly tobacco at first then more vanilla later.

Architect by Oriflame is super cheap and not a bad cheap tobacco scent, ive certainly smelt a lot worse!

As for a pure tobacco maybe Demeter's Pipe tobacco? but haven't smelt that one.

I find that Tom Ford Tuscan Leather is more tobacco than leather.

Not that I know of. I purchased from MurdockLondon.com It took about two weeks to receive. Worth the wait.

Love the Odori Tabacco. Heavy duty at first but what a journey afterwards.

I don't really mean to send you off on a fool's errand after a vintage, discontinued scent, but the very best tobacco fragrance I ever encountered was Gauloise by Molyneux. Yes, the name and the ad campaign played up the cigarette brand connection, but the name actually celebrated "gauloise" as the quintessential quality of "Frenchness". That said, the scent was a masterpiece. Tobacco and rose and nutmeg. Dry but not dusty. Mellow but not sweet. It was late afternoon sun in a bottle. Marketed to women, but on men it was incredible. Like I said, a fool's errand to look for it now, but I just had to say.....

I have a bottle of this and it is a very good rich Virginia tobacco fragrance with cedar. It's also bit sweet and does smell like the bottom of a humidor. One thing though is you really have to like the smell of straight up tobacco with cedar to like this. Because this is all you get so if you are looking for complexity or other notes with the tobacco its best to look elsewhere.

I know you are the spokesman for Murdock You are correct, this is straight tobacco and cedar. Very linear. I really like this one for the winter. Black Tea is next on my agenda.

SMN Tabacco Toscano is great tobacco and vanilla fragrance. Infinitely wearable, on the softer and sweeter side of the tobacco spectrum.

Volutes EdT is my favourite in this genre. One with less tobacco but still a good'un is Baldessarini Concentree.

Also, for a couple of reasonably priced options, check out CK One Shock and Lanvin's Avant Garde. Both are sweeter takes on tobacco. CK One Shock is an ambery and almost chocolatey pipe tobacco, and Avant Garde features beeswax and has a honeyed type feel.

Getting a bit of deja vu now, wasn't there an almost identical thread a day or two ago?

Anyway, I'll add the same recommendations to this one:

    The Dreamer - Versace
    Tobacco Vanille - Tom Ford
    Chergui - Serge Lutens

and I'll add Jasmin et Cigarette by Etat Libre d'Orange this time too.
    Smelling good on a budget!
