    Default Burnt sugar almonds

The smell of burnt sugar almonds is indescribable! They are always being made at carnivals, festivals etc. I know I'm not alone in thinking that the smell of those almonds are amazing, but I don't think a lot of people actually would like to smell like one. I sure do!

Have you ever smelled a fragrance that makes you think of burnt sugar almonds? Let me know!
    Thanks

Only sniffed it once, but Guerlain Tonka Imperiale has some notes that match your description.

I've never sniffed it, but I've seen more than one review that describes Dior Hypnotic Poison as almonds, and another as sugar cookies. It's a womens frag but reviewers say its unisex.
    Vintage Kouros rocks

Burnt sugar is typical of immortelle, so I would explore immortelle based perfumes. For instance, Goutal Sables or Lutens Jeux de peau (after the buttered toast top).

smellgood4u, I swear....you must be a kindred spirit to me! LOL! I looked at the thread title and IMMEDIATELY thought of Dior's Hypnotic Poison! To the OP, I second this idea and it's no more sweet than Body Kouros or Lolita Lempicka Au Masculin. I have tried it, and as far as almonds of the sweet variety, it does deliver. My suggestion to the OP is to try out Hypnotic Poison for sure!

Check out Oriental Brulent also by Guerlain. Might be closer than Tonka Imperiale, but both are fantastic.

My first thought when I think of almond frags.

I love the almond note. I think Etro's Heliotrope scent is very almondy, but in the whitewashed, sweet transparent way, like an almond cookie. It doesn't have the burnt sugar smell, though, which makes me think of ethyl maltol.

I've checked your stash. There's nothing like this in your stash. Too bad for your stash. But hey, at least you're being honest this time.

Tonka Imperiale. It's a cliche to call TI an almond cookie fragrance, but that's pretty much what it is. It is really fantastic and in my opinion, completely worth the $250 for 50 ml. Certainly my favorite masculine Guerlain (I've always found Spiriteuse Double Vanille a bit bland and never cared for Cuir Beluga). I guess the issue there is that there's nothing invoking "burnt" in TI. Maybe give Bond No. 9's I Love New York For All a shot. It's cocoa and chocolate instead of almonds, but it does have a burnt feel to it. Also a very good gourmand.

Along with Tonka Imperiale you could check out other Guerlains (if you can find them) Mon Precieux Nectar, Quand Vient La Pluie & 180 Ans.

MPN is available as part of Les Parisiennes line - all of these play with the almondey Guerlainade accord with varying degrees of sweetness / dryness.

Try layering Dior Hypnotic Poison with a bit of Iso E Super (Molecule 01) for an Almond with a touch of sharp woodiness. It might mimic the burnt sugar part...
