Benzyl Benzoate works best, alcohol not well at all.

Methyl dihydrojasmonate (MDJ, Hedione) is also a very good solvent.
All these moments will be lost in time, like tears in rain.

But can this benzyl benzoate later on mixed well with essential oil like sandalwood? i have tried to mix a cacao extract (in 80% ethylene glycol) into the essential oil and it only make droplets.

What if you don't want the Hedione or Benzyl Benzoate note mixed in w/ the muck ketone?

Is there any solvent that's "neutral?"

musky, the problem is not with the Benzyl Benzoate but with the ethylene glycol. Adding this to any Essential Oil will cause problems.

Benzyl Benzoate is a good solvent for Musk Ketone, as is Diethyl Phthalate (DEP) and Isopropyl Myristate (IPM). DEP and IPM are pretty well odourless. By the way Musk Ketone is quite difficult to dissolve, and I doubt if you can get even a 10.0% solution. Warming will help the solution process.
