Default Birthdays tomorrow, need help with cologne purchase.

I want a spring/summer that will garnish compliments. I was at my local macys today and tried pure havane today and loved it. I feel like that is more of a winter fragrence. I have la nuit, bleu, and 1 million but I want a lighter scent but not too light. I mean this by gucci pour homme II.. I tried this on my skin today and it was almost completely gone in 2 hours. The best example I can think of, that I want, is Terre D'hermes. But I'm told that I smell like an old man(I'm 17 tomorrow), and I really like compliments(as self absorbed as that sounds). So i'd like a heavier fresh scent. I'd really like to stray from aquatics. Thank you very much.

Ferragamo Black. They sell this in Macys. Give it a try.

Dior homme sport, which is probably the best "sport" fragrance I've ever smelled, and doesn't quite deserve that label. The ginger and lemon combination of DHS, while not similar to Terre d'hermes per se, might give you a similar vibe to both Pure Havane and Terre d'Hermes without any heaviness.

Oh, also Mugler Cologne. It has an "aquatic" vibe, but not a synthetic one. Instead, mugler's freshness comes from vetiver, which is a lasting fresh note.

If your local Macy's has it (many do), I'd try Tuscany for men, an italian style herbal.

I've been wearing Tuscany a lot lately. Very nice, citrusy but has a lot of depth.

Happy birthday! Here's a pair of suggestions:

Aqua Fahrenheit. In a weird way, it's like a halfway point between a gourmand like Pure Havane and Terre D'Hermes, and you should get excellent longevity from it.

Hanae Mori HM. This does wonders for me in the compliments department, and it's pretty unique. It's almost like a gourmand. Heck, some say it is one. But it's almost summery. Some even wear it through the summer.

Happy birthday! Also worth testing: YSL Rive Gauche (though classic, it doesn't smell old, dated, plus, fresh, clean enough to get compliments, without however losing its fashionableness).

Happy Birthday! It's amazing how often when commenting negatively on a frag, people will use the term "old man."
My younger daughter (late teen) has used that expression for a couple of my frags.
But I don't really have any suggestions for you, because I'm not even sure what "fresh," but not aquatic, means anymore.
But some I like for warmer weather are Bleu de Chanel, ADG or L'Eau de Issey Miyake (both citrusy), Prada Amber PH (sweetish soap), and Esencia Loewe (harder to find, very classy green fragrance).

I cosign the Feragamo F Black recommendation. Try Allure Homme original too. Smells similar to F Black. Try the Cartier fragrances as well: Declaration, Declaration L'Essense, Declaration Cologne, etc. Issey Miyake and D&G Pour Homme are good too! Not a lot of talk about this one, but try Azzaro Pour Homme Nighttime. It's a dirty citrus, but I think it'll be good for the summer. And for some reason, I keep testing Donald Trump's fragrance. Give that a try as well. Good luck!
