    Default Top 5 Spring Fragrances

With Spring coming soon, I though I'd make this list. Spring is a great season because it is so versatile. Depending on the day, I could wear either a fall, winter or summer scent. But typically spring means weather that's warmer than fall but cooler than summer. Generally, fresh floral scents with moderate projection will do well here (I'm going by our conventional perception of Spring. If you want to wear Angel Men on Spring, go for it).

Lots of honorable mentions. The Dreamer, Roadster, and Terre D' Hermes for starters. Creeds like Himalaya, Millesime Imperial, and even Virgin Island Water. Riverside Drive by Bond no 9. perhaps.

I was originally going to make a top 10, but I realized that I liked these 5 fragrances significantly more than the other 5 I was originally going to put on my list.

    5. Yves Saint Laurent - L'Homme
So much to like about this one. It's safe, versatile and affordable. Fresh and sweet, ginger and citrus, with a little spice in the background. It is masculine, but wearable by younger and older men alike. Soft enough for warm weather, but can cut through cool days as well. Great for all seasons, but it gets the most attention from me in the spring. A staple for every man starting a collection, in my opinion.

    4. Gucci - Pour Homme II
My favorite from the Gucci house. Tea, cinnamon, violet work together very nicely. Reminds me of a smoother and sweeter Fahrenheit with that bergamot/petrol note. While with the notes, you would expect this to be a cool weather fragrance (and it's great for the fall too), it's light enough for the spring. Projection and longevity are spotty, but for this fragrance, it works to its favor for what it provides.

    3. Creed - Green Irish Tweed
One of the best of the Creed house. Lemon, iris, violet, sandalwood (four of my favorite notes) all together. An 80's classic that well stood the test of time. Fresh leafy opening, which I liken to Platinum Egoiste and a smooth sandalwood drydown, just an excellent fragrance all around. A staple in every niche collection. If GIT is outside of your price range, I do recommend Cool Water (another good fragrance for spring, or any season really).

    2. Bond no. 9 - Bleecker Street
If there is one fragrance that can embody spring in one bottle, it's definitely Bleecker Street. Fresh cut-grass vibe, with violet and blueberry notes, a little bit sweet and powdery, and a light amounts of woodsiness. It is a bit pricy and there are better things out there, but I think this is excellent for the spring time.

    1. Creed - Silver Mountain Water
Some hate it, some love it. Me, it's one of my all time personal favorites, especially in the Spring, and I can carry an atomizer with me to make up for the weak projection. Blackcurrant and tea notes together create a fresh icy peppery citrus with a smooth background. While few fragrance evoke an elaborate amount of imagery from me, SMW takes me to top of the tall snowy mountains with glistening water. A true masterpeice in my opinion.

Well, I've never had fragrances in spring (started in late summer last year), but from what I have tried/own, I'd say (in no particular order):

    1. Green Irish Tweed
    2. Pear and Olive
    3. Neroli Portofino
    4. Reflection Man
    5. HM by Hanae Mori (brings back memories)

YSL L'homme - meh. Nothing special imo.

Gucci PH II - My all time favourite so far (and my new gf likes it as well) This is the nearest I'll get to a signature scent as I plan to wear it most/all the time when I'm with her.

GIT - I don't like this. Too 'screechy' to my nose. This may be the violet leaf, I'm not sure.

Bleeker Street - Never tried it

Silver Mountain Water - Not bad, but not worth the price tag, even in a split.

    4) Aventus

Looking forward to spring! I would have to say the 5 I am most looking forward to wearing are:

    5. Bond No. 9 - Chez Bond / Creed GIT
    4. Armani Prive - Vetiver Babylone
    3. Creed - Jardin d'Amalfi
    2. Dior - Dior Homme Sport (both 2012 & 2008 versions)
    1. Bond No. 9 - Bleecker Street

But actually I could easily swap in / out about 20 others that I can't wait to wear either...

I've been collecting scent with strong florals recently and it will work out quite well with spring I think!

My favorites of the moment and I think perfect for spring :
Nicolai Pour Homme by Parfums de Nicolai
The other scent to form the spring foundation
    Le Troisieme Homme by Caron
    Allure Homme by Chanel
    Pour Un Homme by Caron
    Heritage by Guerlain

...I'm also looking to snag a bottle of Insense by Givenchy and maybe Patchouli Instense by Parfums de Nicolai!

Noir how did you miss Aventus? Bleecker St. smells like Aventus in the dry down however bleecker st's top notes are a big turn off because of the sour thing going on with it.
