Default What do you smell a lot in Seattle?

I'm moving up towards Seattle this summer(from Colorado), and was wondering what you find a lot of people wear in the city. Guessing from the weather, I'd guess something a little heavier, but that's just me guessing.

I take a trip to Seattle each year to see family, but I am never there during the overcast/rainy months. These would be good for summer months

In the rainy months you may want to go with a heavier frag

Welcome to the NW. Not only is the indie music scene interesting here, but there is an alive indie fragrance scene with a few small artisanal producers making interesting product. While many of the natural types eschew "artificial" fragrances, there are some quality shops. I don't believe I could name an especially popular Seattle fragrance...unless it is salmon >:/

It's funny, because even though it's rainy and cold a lot, all I ever smell most of the time is aquatics. Definitely Acqua di Gio. This is for the younger crowd though, I have no idea what the 30, 35+ crowd is wearing.

Edit: Or, for that matter, more fragrance conscious buyers like us. There are a few indie fragrance shops, but I've never tried them.

I was going to say coffee and fish too...with hints of marijuana. Too late!

I live in Portland and the two cities have a bit of a rivalry but have a similar northwest vibe. Lately I have been smelling AdG on alot of people. It works on the younger guys and those older that are in shape and "hip" if you like that sort of fragrance but I smell it on old fat cowboys with hats and silver belt buckles large enough to fry an egg on. Yesterday I smelled it on an old man that literally was using a walker.. Yuck. I used to think anyone could wear what they wanted but I am rethinking that opinion.

Not necessarily bad smells - OK except maybe the fish if it's not fresh.
