Default Coriandre - Jean Couturier (for men, edt/edp, dated, soapy?)

    Hello, guys!

I came across Coriandre by Jean Couturier on the internet and got interested by the comments people have made about it. I am seriously considering a blind buy, so I would like to ask you guys:

    - Do you have it and wear it?
    - Is it somewhat "dated"? How soapy is it?
    - Any thoughts on the difference between the EDT and the EDP?

    Thank you!
    Duver

IMO it's quite feminine and soapy. Personally could never wear this.

It's a chypre, marketed to women (not that that alone should stop you.)

The reformulated version being sold now is not good IMO (and Turin concurs.)

    1. Yes
    2. Yes; moderately.
    3. I've only tried the EdT.

I thought about trying Coriandre myself. I like the idea of a coriander scent, but after thinking about the perfume, I chose not to press my luck with anymore blind buys (I'm now trying to unload my bottle of Bas de Soie). I still may try to find a mini.

    "Dated" & "soapy" 4 sure.

U may want 2 give Agent Provocateur or Diane von Furstenberg a try if u wish 4 a more modern take on chypre.

Btw, EDT always seems 2 work better on a man..
    On Sillage:

If someone can smell me at more than an arm's length away, I'm probably wearing too much of whatever I applied; if she can distinctly make out the top notes, then perhaps I left the house a bit too soon..

    On icebreaker:

I tend to compliment people on their frags to make short talks rather than anything more meaningful.

It can be interesting, (and be worn by a guy).......ONLY in TINY amounts. Dosage is everything with this. Don't spray on the neck/throat....you will regret it !
One tiniest spray on forearm is enough. Enjoy.
