    Amouage Lyric Woman

    YSL Kouros
I tested it for the first time on my skin (summer). What a loss I didn't do it earlier!
I don't like it on paper, the dry down it's way too soapy.

These two (Amouage Lyric Woman, YSL Kouros) will be my next purchase.

    Chopard Oud Malaki
    Nice. Smooth.
I have to test it again.

I’ve been staying at a beach house with family & friends for the past week. Brought a few fragrances but Hermeś eau d’orange verte was truly the star.
In a house of 10 people, it’s gentle enough to not offend anyone and it’s natural, soft orange smell was loved by everyone. Lasts about 3-4 hours which is perfect. But the biggest ‘WOW’ was how it smells on skin mixed with sand & salt water when applied directly after swimming in the ocean.

It was one of the best things I’ve ever smelled, and that scent memory will stick with me forever.

I don’t know about that - the current one and the one I tried was pretty damn good. What would you say is the difference so I can (oh god, not again!) obsess about it?

    I hear you.
Can't fault the actual scent in any way, but unfortunately I stop noticing it after about 30 mins. I still splash it quite liberally on the odd hot summer day and hope for the best.

Yes! This one doesn’t get so much attention in the SMN lineup, but it’s brilliant.
    1. No, never blind buy (I do, but do as I say, not as I do. I'm taking no responsibility for your fragrance gambling).
    2. Get them both. You're a Basenoter and you know you're going to end up purchasing them both eventually.
    3. Yes, it has been reformulated.
    4. Looking for a signature scent? You've come to the wrong place.

It was my regular batch in university.

I was able to get 40ml of a bottle recently and the top notes haven't gone bad. Its definitely the best aventus ever created in my opinion

Actually from a friend whom sold me a generous decant. As you know these prices for Spirit of Dubai are off the charts so I went the discount route on this one. I'm not sure about stateside selling this brand as of today. Europe and the Middle East outlets or their website, perhaps even on Ebay if lucky.

    Sultan Pasha Jardin de Borneo

This one is shape shifting but I am not sure I have experienced a fragrance this good.

Not sure how Sultan gets these enfleurages -- they are very expensive and rare. And Gardenia, well, this is a Gardenia masterwork...with facets from the oud and lavender and sandalwood.

It says tuberose but I can't detect notes like that -- just an overall masterpiece.

Top: gardenia enfleurage, jasmine sambac enfleurage.

Middle: lavender absolute, tuberose absolute, gardenia absolute, sandalwood.

Base: Bois de Borneo (rare Borneo oud by Ensar oud), katrafay, tonka absolute, calamus, Haitian vetiver, galbanum, civet, ambergris.

The last one I liked a lot is James Heeley Note de Yuzu, very nice, refreshing yuzu for hot summer weather. And it lasts for quite a bit - 5-6 hours, more than I expected from it

I think its sophisticated as well. Unfortunately, in the recent months, I seem to have fallen out of love with Tom Ford Extreme. There is a rubbery smell that I just cant get past... Hope you continue to enjoy it nonetheless.

There is no place in the US that sells this.

Go to: https://www.thespiritofdubai.com/meydan100ml to read about the fragrance (they do sell testers).

Then email them your First and last name, shipping address as well as what you want and the size you want.

    Their email: info@thespiritofdubai.com

They will email you an invoice which you can pay with a credit card or Paypal.
