Default TF Tobacco Vanille- alternatives please

Whilst I respect the quality and longevity of TV I am not overly enamoured with the slightly caramelised honey top note which I find somewhat overly sweet/sickly (I don't have a very good olfactory sense and tend to favour strong scents) . I do like Musc Ravageur and have tried Spiriteuse Double vanille. Can you please recommend anything which is as much as a 'powerhouse' as TV in respect of longevity- nothing heavy in the incense line please, although I like Invasion Barbare I find the incense in Jub XXV far too overpowering.

Eau de Baux. However there is an incense note in there but it's not overly prominent IMO.

Eau des baux is definitely the first one that comes to mind. Much cheaper and I probably prefer it too. Next is Chergui which I definitely prefer. Always well priced at escentual.com

As others have said: Eau des Baux is close. And by Kilian Back to Black lasts forever and is in the same class.

You might also want to give Serge Lutens Un Bois Vanille a try.

B2B still has the sickly honey note that goes on forever too (in my opinion)

Scroll about halfway down to find a bottle. Use the 15% off coupon code and it comes to $34.43. Go through ebates for a 6% rebate (eventually). Best price I know of.

Grt deal as usual, somehow I missed looking this up on fragrancenet.com - u should be able to find some 20% coupons here on BN or other online sources, along with the 6% back from ebates. I shelled out around CAD $50 for this, still, worth the amount spent. Very difficult for any similar smelling frag to match TV's longevity though...

Santa Maria Novella Tabacco Toscano is quite nice - surprisingly tenacious for an EDC, too.

Spicebomb reminds me of Eau des Baux. Eau des Baux reminds me of Tobacco Vanille. So either one of those may work although they are not exactly like Tobacco Vanille.

Dior Ambre Nuit reminds me of Tobacco Vanille a little bit.

For the most part, I would agree with this. Definitely worth checking the other two out in your search

actually spicebomb and tobacco vanille ARE similar. spicebomb is the only fragrance i know of that can be compared to TV.

for me, TV is an excellent fragrance, but i wont pay that price.

Tried Spicebomb on the weekend....off the top, they smell very similar. As it dries down (1 hour later), there is a leathery/rubber note that was kind of nasty. After 3 hours this fragrance is a skin scent.

Tobacco Vanille, I can get 12 hours easy. You gotta pay to play
