In a word, yes.
I've went through the old threads to be able to discern by the batch codes what is vintage (Silver tube) Dior Homme but was wondering if it's identifiable by the box? I picked up a bottle of 2008 DHS which was a piece of cake thankfully because of the box change
For those that own both what are your thoughts comparing the two?
In a word, yes.
Care to expand?
The batch code is imprinted on the bottom of the box, so that's one way. Sorry, I know that's not the answer you're looking for. I think the boxes are the same.
Canadians: I would like to trade for a decant of The 3rd Man by Caron. PM me.
Never actually paid attention to the boxes.
I have never smelled the original. All I know is the reform is absolutely gorgeous so I wouldn't be that bothered hunting the original formulation.
I don't have any DH box in my hands right now, but it's likely after 2010 the ingredients listed are different.
I don't think there's an obvious box difference the way they did with DHS vs DHS 2012 but don't know about the details between boxes.

The reform is pretty darn close to the original , but it you really want to know , check the batch number on the bottom of the box and type it in on cosmeticcalculator.net. If its late 2010 or before, you have the silver collar vintage. If the price is high , I wouldn't dish out the extra cash as the reform is nearly identical.
I find the new version to have a slightly more dynamic drydown, whereas the original has a more exciting opening.
