    Default Nez a Nez Questions

    Hi, guys n gals!

It's been a while since I posted, so don't be too shocked to see me back!

I have a question about a couple of Nez a Nez scents: Foret de Becharee and Marron Chic.

I'd be interested to hear your impressions of both, if you know them. I'm attracted by the chestnut note in both.

I recently smelled these (on paper only), but I want to go back and try them on skin. In the meantime, I'd let to get the impressions others have had of them.

Many thanks to any of you who can help on this!

I have the entire line of this house in my Collection. The two of which you speak are especially nice. The first of the two is my preferred of the entire line.

I think I agree with you about Forêt de Bécharée.

I hated Marron Chic and washed it off of my hand asap. I had very high hopes for it for the chestnut/marron glacée smell, but it turned out to be a scrubber for me.

I found the THE marron glacée smell that i wanted in Bond's NY for All.

I really liked Marron Chic, but felt it bordered on 'too sweet' (admittedly I am largely averse to the sweets). A lovely chestnut note though.

The Foret one was a bit disappointing IMO, very tame, short-lasting and with poor sillage.

I have purchased about 4 or 5 from Nez a Nez, but the two you mentioned never did it for me -- a little bit sickly. But you know, if you like them, that's all that counts.

Tell me about the ones you like. I haven't had a chance to smell the others, but if you can name the ones you like best, I know where I can test them.

    Thanks in advance!

I actually didn't dislike Foret and it was in rotation for a while -- a sugary amber. Marron I couldn't take though.
The others I have purchased and enjoyed are Atelier D'Artiste, L'Hetre Reve and Vanithe. I also liked the one with Marilyn Monroe on the packaging, but it was too feminine for me.

I went back to the place I found these, and I found I really liked L'Hêtre Rêvé.

I tried it on my skin and it seemed s bit soapy at first, tho not in a bad way. After it settled for a bit, it seemed fine, then wen thru a phase I thought too sweet, bug that passed fairly quickly, and afterwards, all was smooth sailing. One other thing: in the dry down, I thought the sillage fell away rather quickly -- still detectable, but faint. At this point, I'm actively considering purchase.

    Good to read you again!
My favourites are Atelier d'Artiste and I also found Hiroshima Mon Amour very interesting, but in the end I sold it because it was a bit too sweet. It has an interesting fruity-ambery yuzu note, though.

My experience with Nez à Nez hasn't been positive- on my skin the scents smell just like the same, after a short while: loudly ambery vanillic, definitely too sweet. I was attracted by Marron Chic, too, but the nice roasted, smoky chestnut note quickly drowned in the syrup

Nice to see you around, I love your reviews

Not too popular around here! But I like it too. I haven't worn it all day yet though . . . seems a bit linear. Which is why I use it as a bedtime scent.
