I actually keep it but now considering throwing it all away.
Is there a market where people actually buy empty bottles?

"What is this secret connection between the soul, and sea, clouds and perfumes? The soul itself appears to be sea, cloud and perfume..." - from Zorba the Greek by Nikos Kazantzakis.
Have thrown all I've had over four decades away.
Some are collectible, some not. Check completed listings on eBay.

Keep some if I like 'em.
Have thrown most I've had till end 1970 away. Now all bottles inclusive box are collected and stored.
My ten favorites in November (fragrances alphabetical):
I only keep them if they are particularly interesting or there's a likelihood that they will at some point be considered 'different' enough to be collectible.
Put them in clothes drawers until they don't smell any more then chuck. Unless they are really beautiful then I see no point in keeping them. What do people do with ordinary empty perfume bottles?
"No sweet perfume ever tortured me more than this." Desert Rose by Sting and Cheb Mami, Album 1999.
As soon as it's completely empty, it gets thrown away, unless someone else collecting empty bottles wants to have the respective bottle, but still kept when the fragrance content is around 1% or even less.
just keeping my acqua di parma sterling silver bottle and big costes bottle.
I see lots of empty bottles on ebay. I doubt there are many collectors for empty 'One Million' bottles etc. I always assumed people were buying these so they can sell fakes.
I haven't been able to finish a whole bottle yet . Lol.
Like outline, I kept a big Costes bottle. I'm not sure what to do with it though. I use one of the big blue Villoresi bottles to spray water on my clothes when I iron.
i've never had one. but that's an interesting question.
what i think i would do is add it to a swap as a deal sweetener.
I've just been to clear out my rather messy OH's bedside cabinet and found 11 empty eau de toilette bottles. Now I have to ask him whether he's just too lazy to throw them out or whether he wants my empties too.
'I suggest we learn to love ourselves before it's made illegal.'
I hoard certain things. Screws, nuts and bolts, small containers including cologne bottles, prescription meds and women.
reverse decant with a syringe and needle?
I'm keeping my Chergui bell jar when it's empty, to fill with more Chergui.
I've always thrown away the empties and I'll probably keep doing that. But in the past, I've given away the bottles with perfume still left that I tired of. I have definitely quit doing that!
I have kept a few pretty empty perfume bottles on the 2 windowsills of my bedroom and the rest I stored in the garage in boxes.
I do not remember finishing any!
But I think i would trash them
Sometimes there are fragrances frequently sold on "that auction site" as testers without the caps. So a cap from an empty bottle could come in handy. It would be great to have a "cap request" thread somewhere. If someone is going to toss away a bottle, why not send the cap to someone who needs it as long as they cover shipping?
I have tended to hold empty bottles till they have been replaced and then pass them on to friends as markers for what they should try/buy.
Have bought a couple of empties from the "website" as reminders of stuff I should buy an try (but only for a few pennies)
If they have screw-on atomizers or glass dabbers I clean them and fill them with my own creations. If they have a crimp top I just cry over them moaning "Why Why?"
What do you guys do when your bottles are empty?Does it depend on how nice the bottle is?I just finished by memoir man bottle and I just cannot throw it away.
I throw them away..
Try to sell on Ebay or here..
a lot of people are into collecting bottles- not fragrances..
Haven't finished a bottle in a while. I would give or throw them away.
Here are some ideas
We'll move this thread to bottle collecting & merge it with the one linked above.
I arrange flowers in some of mine use them as decorative pieces in my bathroom.
I've kept a very few empty bottles that were kind of special to me. The others were usually thrown in the trash. My sister though likes to collect all her empty bottles.
I throw all mine away in the recycling bin as I have a tendency to hoard things.
