I got sneaky sniffs of magic things :P
It's been in discussion on his blog for a good while. Along with another release due out soon (I hope!).
Don't know why it's slipped here. I haven't been on here much recently
NOONTIDE isn't released yet but it is in a couple weeks.
Haven't tried this yet. Hope to try this as soon as I see it.
Thank You Freddie. Surprised that we haven't heard before now.
The name and notes suggest a 'feminine'. Won't put me off trying it though.
hedonist his signature (similarly to in Miriam, is hardly there. this dries down to a dry cedar/sandalwood/rosewood combo with a slightly metallic incense - just a tinge of resins - subtle).
Kaern - definitely drops on the feminine side but I wear literally anything so I don't consider it like, a feminine, you know? It's like as I said a modern interpretation of First by Van Cleef and Arpels or No.22.
Foustie - I'm surprised too! :O

NP is really nice--it's an aldehydic floral with a frankincense and balsam base. Its closest relative is probably Incense Rose. Overall, Tauer's best work in a while. Sorry Freddie, but I think NP is much better than Miriam.![]()

Wearing a sample I just received today. Very nice. I don't really love much from Tauer (but love and own LDDM), but this one is far better than I was expecting. Full bottle worthy? Certainly possible - will need to wear it a few times to know for sure, but I do like the opening!
Received the bottle today for the split I am hosting. Since I never smelled this one, tried one spray on the back of my hand. Opened very nicely. To me at least, it has that signature Tauer feel.
On me, the one spray was tenacious. I sprayed it on around 10 AM. I was still getting whiffs long into this evening. I would say a good 10-12 hours.
Noontide Petals opens with a good dose of aldehydes, but these are not overwhelming- I suspect the bergamot and geranium notes for toning them down.
The middle is dominated by the ylang and tuberose with a subtle rose presence. Vanilla and Iris start to show up to foreshadow the drydown.
Besides the vanilla and iris mentioned above, the dry down also presents just enough sandalwood to ground the fragrance and there is very little patchouli and vetiver to add some greenness.
This is a very delicate, almost powdery, scent that wants to transport me a few decades past to a "classic" era- whatever that means. The earlier stages of it tend to lean to the feminine spectrum, but the finish dries down to more neutral ground.
The image this put in my head while wearing it was that of a ceramic vase with white flowers in it. Lovely fragrance.
I finally got a chance to try this on skin today... Unfortunately, like all the other Tauer compositions I have tried it did not impress and has that distinct Tauer signature I can't get along with. Early, it is indeed quite aldehyde heavy, mixing with the same almost shampoo soap-like faux rose note used in Une Rose Vermeille. Projection is absolutely incredible... My own bias aside, those that enjoy Tauer compositions most likely will like this too but for me it is a definite no-go, I'm afraid.

Hello BN's. I am writing this for Tauer right now is offering a 50mil of Rose Delight Body Oil for $20 dollars . I just got this and it is very nice and it is certainly Andy's . Very well done. I don't receive anything for this, I just thought it would be nice to get something at an attractive price. It's very well done. He also sent a hand signed art post card along with it. So that's cool.
