Default HDP 1725 Really Similar To Invasion Barbare ?

I tried Invasion Barbare again today and I must say that I am impressed.

    My opinion:

Reminds me of a big (sillage/longevity) Guerlain type colonia in a bees bottle. I can't remember the names at the moment but this is definitely for the Eau de Coq crowd.

I see that 31 people on Fragrantica think HDP 1725 is similar. The question is how similar and how similar is the sillage and longevity ?

The price tag on IB is absolutely ridiculous.

Other than both being Fougère, I don't see the similarity. HDP 1725 is a spicy almond/lavender. I don't get any licorice or star anise. Sillage and longevity is average.

IB is far superior to me.

Not really...there's, similarities but you could easily own both without it being redundant.

IB's better, IMO. And worth the price.

    Don't see the resemblance either.

1725 fragrance does remind me of Invasion Barbare but with the violet removed and less complex, if money was no issue then I would choose IB. But 1725 is still a very good fragrance and if money was a issue then it would be a good choice.

I can see a vague family resemblance, but 1725 is much more powdery, which affects wearability for me--

Thank you so much for your responses.

IB is really loud on the skin.

I like them both. I do detect a similarity but 1725 is more powdery/smooth and less complex than IB

Yes they are similar so worth testing 1725 if you like the feel of IB.
    Only similar mind you....

I find them similar and prefer 1725 - a little sweeter with the amber base and more powdery. I find IB too loud and sharp.

I see the resemblance between Sartorial & IB but not 1725 & IB.

They're similar in the meaning they're both "nugeres" (modern fougeres) but 1725 is overall way sweeter while IB is more restrained, more transparent.
