I dislike aquatics, but the most intense, head-turning, realistic aquatic (in the sense of beach with assorted decaying life-forms) is the expensive Tirrenico by I profumi del forte. Also in niche, Voramar by Monegal is a decent contender as well.

Cheaper, there is Dubai by Scents of departures, and interesting aquatic oud (if one can imagine). It usually goes for $50, but it's on sale for $20 at my local Urban outfitters.

Sorry, but Aquatics are awful and the only head turning is to get away from the smell. They all seem to have a hellish sillage.

@bgoc - some Environment Agency guys told me we're in for a hot one - they tend to know these things imo.
But they were doing engineering works due to our tendency towards higher water levels at the time....

+1. Not a huge fan of the opening, but once this settles in it's fantastic. Plus it's an EdC that projects and lasts longer than most EdT's.

It isn't really classified as an aquatic, but Chanel Bleu is awesome and Clinique Happy.

Sel Marin. I keep banging on about this one but it's worth banging on about. I would be eternally grateful if I had weather warm enough to actually wear it!!

Bvlgari Aqva Pour Homme is a better option in my opinion..

Funny... I thought Bvlgari Aqva, and especially Aqva Marine smelled just the way you described the Heeley Sel Marin. All the worst smells of a marine environment.

Interestingly, dirty harbor with dead fish is what most aquatics smell to me. But not the Heeley. As usual, some people are hypersensitive to some notes, or slightly anosmic.

+1 to the Heeley and Bvlgari Aqua.

and hell, AdG and Izzey aren't even that bad...

Plum Japonais, Italian Cypress, Neroli Portofino, Costa Azzura, Azure Lime, Champacca Absolute

Most of the time I am very proud of the Basenotes community. Time after time I have witnessed the thoughtfulness, empathy & genuine friendship that members of this community extend to others - oldtimers & newcomers alike. There are other times, however, when egos get the upper hand and civility goes out the window. My philosophy is that I won't say anything here that I would not say if you were standing in front of me. Welcome to Basenotes, each and every one of us. ~ TwoRoads
