Default Best orange (smell, not the colour) scent for men?

I love the smell of Varvatos' Artisan but it lasts like 4 seconds. Can anyone recommend something similar? Preferably powerful but just as sweet/rich as Artisan.

I don't know the Varvatos scent unfortunately, but here are some recommendations for orange scents:

Hermes - Eau d'Orange Verte: a bitter orange scent, sharp and refreshing, a great summer fragrance
The Different Company - Bergamote: exactly what the name says, another great summer scent

Fendi - Theorema is a warm, spicy orange scent with a burnt facet (if you can find it).

You can also try to use unscented body cream, let it sink in and only then spray the scent on, it can increase its longevity. Using the matching lotion is also a good idea. In case you haven't done it yet you can experiment with more spritzes (I normally use some 8 to 10, except for really heavy scents).

    Atelier Cologne Orange Sanguine.

    Eau d'orange Verte Concentree.

I recommend the concentree version not because it is better than the regular one (it is not, it lacks some of the true freshness), but because it lasts much longer. The regulas EOV has very poor longevity. Both are classics and probably the best orange fragrances in the market. Please buy.

Also, Chanel Allure Homme Sport - great fresh scent that lasts a long time.

Thanks a lot guys. The thing about Artisan is that it's not really a fresh, sharp orange smell like Terre d'Hermes. Not sporty at all. It's very soft and rich. I'll be checking out these recommendations to see if they're anything like that.

Banana Republic M, a superb, high-quality orange scent. This icon from the mid-1990's has just been relaunched. Banana runs great store-wide promotions on a regular basis and fragrance is usually included. I picked up a bottle for 40% off last Wednesday, what an incredible value!

If you like Artisan, I think you'd really like/love Frederic Malle's Bigarade Concentree! I had been sniffing out Artisan for a while and had contemplated buying it, but I didn't want to because I wanted something a little more than Artisan, then I went to Vegas and took a whiff of Bigarade Concentree and, call me crazy, but it's like a more complete, richer, fuller, warmer, version of Artisan. It has that orange/orange blossom vibe to it that is amazing. It really think it would be what you are looking for if you really like Artisan. I love Bigarade Concentree...it is my all time favorite citrus, but it goes beyond just being a citrus frag to so much more. Check it out if you haven't already. Just know that I had Artisan on my mind when I gave this frag a whiff.

Tom Ford's Neroli Portafino is pretty. For a lesser price and a really nice fragrance, you might consider Ferre's Bergamotto Marino. Both fragrances are wonderful.

Orange Sanguine by Atelier is definitely what you are looking for if you want orange. It is a beautiful scent with the most realistic orange you'll be likely to find in modern perfumery. It's not too bad on longevity for a pure citrus, either.

As far as orange related smells go, you could always go with C&S Neroli or Cologne Sologne.

How's the longevity of Bond Little Italy?

I recommend Laura Tonatto Iss . . . very good longevity. Like an longer-lasting orange version of Eau de Guerlain.

I don't get strong orange from Neroli Portafino at all. Eau D'Orange Verte.

My favorite orange fragrance is Parfum d' Empire Azemour les Orangers. Also very good are Ramon Monegal Entre Naranjos and TDC Sienne d' Orange. I am not sure these last longer than Varvatos Artisan but they smell as good, even better in the orange department. The thing I really appreciate about Artisan is the mossy base note that changes the fragrance from orange to something else.

I honestly don't think I've ever gotten to the basenotes, I've only had a sample of it... The opening drives me crazy though.
