    Default Help a newcomer! :)

    Hey guys, I am new!

I want to add to my very small collection of Fragrances. I started about 6 months ago, with a purchase of Diesel Plus Plus, which I really like the smell of, however I dont like the fact it wears off in about 20 seconds. I also have a small bottle of CK Free which i cant decide weather I love or hate.
And finally my latest purchase (just yesterday) was a 30ml bottle of Givenchy Pi, which i absolutely adore, and it lasts for ages.

So basically I wanna get a couple more.

    1. Something for everyday wear, not too expensive. Able to last a full day, not too overpowering, fresh kinda scent.

    2. Something for special occasions, has longevity, manly smell, again not too overpowering but lingering.

Nothing to niche, as i need to be able to smell it first.

    Thanks

    Welcome!
For everyday, fresh and longlasting, I also second vetivers, such as Tom Ford Grey vetiver. Also, Lush Dirty.

For special: Egoiste (warm sandalwoody), Bulgari Black (fun rubber note).

    Welcome!
+1 to Terre d' Hermes EDT (& Eau Sauvage) - both can be worn all yr...

Everyday use - these are cheap and have pretty good projection & longevity - Rochas man / Bogart PH / Lapidus PH.

For special - Andy Tauer's LDDM / Lonestar Memories - costs around 130 + lasts very well and projects well too - in terms of projection only, nothing beats a Montale Aoud parfum IMO, so u might want to look into their house as well...Any parfum u like from Serge Lutens / Maitre P E Gantier are also very good buys, both houses have 5+ excellent parfums, test or sample these b4 buying though...

I find many scents don't last on me, and went to mostly Niche...BUT they are expensive. Some inexpensive "fresh" scents that last on me are Versace Pour Homme, and Versace Eros. Give samples a try...Go into a dept. store and spritz 3 spritzes on your chest and neck. Ask people throughout the day if they smell it still...

Hi! I have bought the Burberry Touch for Men for my boyfriend and he and I both really enjoy that~ It is fresh and light (to us at least) and it is subtle enough for everyday wear, maybe you could try this too ^___^

Yea, i try to test new fragrances every week. I work at a place called Savers that do fragrance, which is what started my love for scents. We mainly do cheaper end stuff, but do have the occasional mid range stuff (212, Jean paul Gaultier, Paco Rabane 1million) at really good prices E.G. 212 Sexy Men 30ml for 15 (around $23). Only Problem is we have barely any testers.

    Had a look around my town today, and smelt a few of the suggestion;

Bleu de Chanel - Quite nice, distinctive
Terre d' Hermes - slightly dissapointed after hearing a lot about it on this site, for me, it was nice, but i could barely smell it 5 mins after i sprayed it.
Fahrenheit - Wasnt sure when I 1st sprayed it but it really grew on me, i will be smelling this again soon.

So yeah thanks for the help!

Am gonna search for a shop near me that has testers of YSL M7, Opium and Kouros in stock!
