Default Recommend a tea based fragrance for under $80

I sampled Atelier's Oolang Infini a while back and fell in love with it. I did not fall in love with the price tag, however, as it goes about $110 for a 100ml bottle (which I realize isn't very expensive at all by the standards of niche juice but still a bit steep for me). When I clicked on the Oolang Tea tag under basenotes.net/fragrancereviews, I noticed Versus Time for Energy by Versace is the only other fragrance in Basenotes' directory for that particular tea. This was somewhat disappointing.

So, any recommendations for a tea fragrance available in 100ml or so for under $80? And ignoring costs, I'd also appreciate recommendations for tea fragrances in general, as I'd like to at least sample some of the pricier ones but I'm quite sure where to start. I've heard great things about l'artisan Tea for Two and Voyage d'Hermes.

I didn't know they were making a 100ml bottle now. Used to be 200ml and then they released a 30 ml.

Anyway, I also like tea based frags. Try Bulgari Pour Homme - for me it is the standard in this genre - both in designer and niche. I have tried so many.

I also like Tea for Two, and yes, it is a tea scent - but heavier, smokier.

I have tried a lot of tea fragrances and the best one I have found that I like is Murdock's Black Tea though it retails at about $120. The second best that smells great and around the price you mentioned is Gucci Pour Homme II.

Also Artisan'a Tea for Two, but I think that that may be out of production.

Gucci Pour Homme II. I like it more than T42, and better price.

Of course, Gucci Pour Homme II. Rectoverso Man Tea Tobacco (just received a few days ago) is another good one.

Jean Charles Brosseau The Brun is around that price, I think.
Jo Malone Assam and Grapefruit or Earl Grey and Cucumber.
Annick Goutal Duel can be found cheap online.
    Kurt smells like Teen Spirit

Try Bulgari Soir and Bulgari Soir Extreme. Most seem to think they're too similar to own Oolang and the Bulgari.

Gucci Pour Homme II is definitely my favorite. Tea for Two is nice, but GPHII is the one I always go for.

Can those of you who own Rectoverso Man tell me more about it? There seems to be so little info online. There's a Rectoverso Man thread here. It'd be great if you'd add your thoughts.

Another vote for just about anything Bulgari: Pour Homme and The Vert come to mind immediately but Tea Notes are sort of the signature note of the house I believe.

Also, Tommy Girl was famously based on Tea Notes and many think of it as Unisex

Not Bvlgari Soir, but Bvlgari Extreme is similar to Oolang Infini, and if you can stretch your budget just a tad, Serge Lutens 5 o'clock au Gingambre is very good. Find it on BeautyEncounter for around $95.

Wow, thanks so much for all the great suggestions, everyone!

I have sampled Gucci Pour Homme II and really liked it. The only thing that kind of ruined it for me was that it was just a tad too cinnamony and sweet. But this thread has convinced me to find my vial and retry it. I really loved the tea and tobacco combo. I'm almost tempted to blind buy a bottle of Rectoverso Man Tea Tobacco since it's priced to own...
