Default Hi guys new to the forum, could anyone help?

Hi all I am new to this forum and relatively new to the fragrance world

I own 5 fragrances issey miyake ch 212 platinum egoiste ch sexy men and the one men d and g

The one men is my latest purchase and was more or less a blind buy on recommendation from a friend

I'm wondering if there's any 1else out there who feels the same way but I just can't stand this fragrance!

I've read lots of raving reviews on this fragrance and tried to like it ... but its way to sickly and sweet for me and becomes cloying.

I don't know what note I'm smelling (maybe vanilla??) but there's something in there my nose can't take.

I think as a whole I appreciate fresh citrus scents more ie issey

I have been told to try eau fraiche and pour homme by Versace.... If any1 can offer any other "fresh" scents to try that'd be appreciated

    Thanks

It's probably the combination of Amber and Orange Blossom that's bothering you. Amber can be sweet, and with the orange blossom it's going to 'candy' it up a bit. I like The One, but remember it was very short lived on me. Disappeared in about 2 hours.

Anyway, I highly recommend Guerlain Homme L'eau for an excellent fresh scent.

It's hard to find, so another recommendation is Dior Homme Sport or Aqua Fahrenheit by Dior. I've also been hearing good things about Prada Luna Di Rossi, but I haven't tried it myself yet.

    Chanel Allure Homme Sport
    Bleu de Chanel
    Prada Amber Pour Homme
    Mugler Cologne

Though you said you may not like vanilla I will still suggest Hanae Mori HM for you, it is a citrus, floral, gourmand.

Thanks for the reply, I'll try everything you mentioned.

Like I said I really like leau Dissey, however here in England it's too mainstream.

I'm looking for something similar ... A fresh citrusy scent but that's not too well known or worn

Any recommendations will be great... I'll just make a big list of them

    Thanks

Count me as another one that dislikes it.

Please try ARMANI EAU. It is fresh, it is balanced, it is beautiful, it is classical, and very refined. I've never tried The One Man D&G but I'm sure I would not like it.
