    Default Fragrance for my father

My father is 64. Want to get him a good fragrance. What would be a good one for his age?
I was thinking about Green Irish Tweed.

That's exactly what I was going to say. It smells great, and even the bottle is impressive. What a great gift.

I'm about your dad's age and I like Le Labo Rose 31 and Bois 1920 Real Patchouly a lot.
Givenchy Vetyver and Chanel Egoiste would also be really nice as would L'Occitane Eau des Baux or Guerlain Heritage.

    +1 Chanel Egoiste

I would also suggest Diptique 34 Boulevard Saint Germain or Tam Dao.

Vetiver by Creed was launched 64 years ago. While that's not so easy to find, Original Vetiver is.

Find out his taste in fragrance. I had a similar list of what I thought I should get for my father and much later during a sampling session with him I found out that he loved Chanel No. 5 and disliked most of the others I thought a person of his age will like. One of his favourite notes was that of the lily and he seems to like aldehydes. IMO, try and get to know his taste in fragrance and then get him something.

He's a real simple country man. He still works too. I'm wanting to get him something for work and something he can wear to a restaurant. I haven't smelled most of these, so I may go with GIT. I think he will like it.

Armani Eau Pour Homme. Plus now they have a Nuit version too.

Seeing that you're from the south. I think something woody, yet elegant would fit the bill. Possibly Burberry London, CDG Wonderwood or CDG 2 Man. GIT is just ok IMO and doesn't exactly scream simple country man.
