A beautiful intrecciato... I am putting my eyes on some of their products too, but the bags are simply too expensive.

Thank you Sir's. Would love to get a blue one from BV as well, almost walked out with a Stingray skin version dyed in ink blue. Was really stunning but a bit to exotic for everyday use, at least in my opinion.

Very beautiful. I have a plain black full grain leather one, very simple. I feel envy of yours.

Agreed on the bags, I am trying not to get sucked into another obsession with these, but I would love to get a lizard version as well in blue. Gotta refill the swear jar first!

    Nice wallet.
Guess that's the color Shadow, it's pretty nice how the color changes under different lighting. From olive green to taupe and ash-grey later.

Yes Sir, Shadow is the color I chose, loving it so far. Very dynamic.

Next year's bag collection includes stuff in croc (or gator, I forget). The catalog had a price, I remember the first digit was a 2. The rest were too many to bother.

Maybe I'm not up with the times, but the $500 range for a wallet seems very steep. I'd rather have a $20 wallet with $480 in it!

    To each their own though.

(I just found one for $.25 at a yard sale. To each their own, indeed.) Gotta save for perfume! LOL
I send thee this sweet perfume a fragrance to the fragrant, as one would offer wine to the god of wine.

Hermès makes wonderful wallets, and I love Comme des Garçons wallets – very practical and cool, not to mention affordable.

And to (sort of) stay on topic, one of my favourite messengers is a plain black BV with a woven strap. BV makes good stuff.

BV certainly has some great stuff Tott, though I find their footwear a little odd. Certainly a bit of a mental leap for sure in the cost department, but I've always been happy to pay more if the quality is there. Allen Edmonds for my work shoes and belts, redwing boots and my filson raincoat, not to mention my frags!

Prolly wasted more money on cheap crap then I've spent on a select amount of quality items that do the job better.

Thankfully these days there are some great options for wallets that are quality and value like Saddleback and Ashland Leather.

You found a Bottega Veneta for $0.25??

    Is it vintage?

Oh, the BV wallet looks great!
I'd stay away from Prada mens wallets. I received one as a gift and the quality is poor.

Absolutely! Prada's quality and finish has been going downhill for years now. In particular, many of the less costly saffiano accessories look like they were made by children in a dark room. You can even see the crooked seams and wonky surfaces in the pics of their e-store offerings.

    I avoid Prada nowadays.

That is a sharp wallet, I've toyed with the idea over and over again of buying something slick like that but I never pull the trigger. But now it's in my head again. Nice wallet though.

I decided the Intreciatto was too nice not to use daily, and wanted something a little more special for special occasions.

Their stingray slg are pretty good too actually, it holds up quite well and pretty much grease/waterproof.
(sorry not meant to confuse you..just thrilled to see another scent enthusiast that happens to like BV as well

Yep it's lizard, Lucertola to be more specific. The stingray in blue was also one I was considering, truly awesome looking. The color on my lizard is a very dark inky blue they call Tourmaline.

Fair enough indeed, I love them both lol. They make a Intreciatto in the dark blue and it's just killer.

Never seen Lucertola in this color before, they usually come in yellow or other brighter colors.
Great choice there, Tourmaline is a very color indeed, i too have a calf tote bag in this color, a very dark blue almost matte black in person.

(i have a photo of some of my stingray and Intreciatto side by side in the same color tone- Cloth. Was tempted to post the pic but don't wanna hijack your thread..o well maybe another time..)

    Maybe some other times Ulsterman,

btw, there two BV outlets in US, one in CA near LA and another one in NY. By outlets i don't mean cheapo stuff, they usually have a decent verity of selection goods and the SA(s) are very helpful to do mail-order over email or phone.
