Good morning kalli , good morning all !.

SotD is the newly acquired Arquiste Boutonniere No 7.

No reason for the blokes to be wary despite the feminine connotations of the flower. This is as much a vetiver compositon as it is gardenia, and the two compliment each other very nicely. Sheer elegance .
Also left Fortnum and Mason laden with assorted chocolate truffles, which are proving to be a rather nice accompaniment to this morning's coffee.

    Wishing everyone a great day.

Yeah, another perfect picture, kalli! Warm coordinated colors as if they came off the 17th century Turkish textiles. Sleepless again?

Will go work soon, in Annick Goutal Nuit Etoilee, pure citrus with vivacious mint accents that dries down to warm and fluffy fuzziness without too much musk. Amazing how people at Annick G's can take simple even boring ingredients and make a pleasing chunk of nature out of them, which -- in its turn -- together with our personal charm and skin warmness, creates magic!

    Happy Easter.

    Morning All,

Hmm, Jon. Those truffles sound delish. Seems we were ships in the night yesterday, as I passed through F&N also. One day, we really ought to meet for a sniff and a beer.

Habit Rouge ( EdT ) today, from my new bottle.

If I can find a shop that's open today, I'll get some carrots for a carrot cake.

    Have a lovely Sunday, folks.

I am just trying to score points with you Twolf, hehe. Ya, I like that picture and the symbolic side of it.

I don't dig mint but that AG bottle is totally awesome looking, I'd almost want it for the bottle..but haven't sniffed the juice yet..it would be cool if I liked it...I do dig pine, has me interested. The regular bottle or the butterfly bottle, both are nice. I've been a big Van Gogh fan for quite some time.. so..of course I like the name, Starry Night.

Jon, I love that bird popping out of the egg! May I have a truffle?. One has to have a little chocolate on Easter, no? And also any other day of the year? No?

Fetish Parfum (not Fetish pour homme Parfum)

Bergamot, Lemon, and Lime, add a touch of dynamism to this rich, leathery composition which has touches of Neroli, Violet, Fig, and Jasmine at its heart which adds an unusual sweetness to a base which is redolent with Oakmoss, Patchouli, Vetiver, leather-like Labdanum, and Leather, with swathes of smoky Castoreum enlivened by Pepper, Pink Pepper, Cinnamon, and Cardamom, nestling on sensual base of Vanilla, Benzoin, Elemi, Ambergris, and Musk.

I got up early, will fetch the SUnday NYT from the stoop, read a little, then snooze a little longer, which has me thinking Wallace Stevens (see below). Tabac Blond, from a generous sample sent by a generous friend, in the crook of each arm, just for me. Balahé by Leonard on neck and wrists. This well-mannered relative of Habnita makes that little bit of TB go a long way.

    Sunday Morning (excerpt)—Wallace Stevens

Complacencies of the peignoir, and late
Coffee and oranges in a sunny chair,
And the green freedom of a cockatoo
Upon a rug mingle to dissipate
The holy hush of ancient sacrifice.
She dreams a little, and she feels the dark
    Encroachment of that old catastrophe,
As a calm darkens among water-lights.
The pungent oranges and bright, green wings
Seem things in some procession of the dead,
Winding across wide water, without sound.
The day is like wide water, without sound,
Stilled for the passing of her dreaming feet...

I'm on my way to a potluck Easter dinner at the house of friends, wearing Pefumer's Workshop Tea Rose. The key to wearing it is one very sparing spritz. I sniffed a few rosey scents I have before I settled on this one. Sometimes it can be no other.

Traversee du bosphore by L'artisan Parfumeur. It's my sister's 50mL edp and I noticed that the cap is of higher quality than my 100mL Tea for Two. They are the same shape, but her logo is impressed on the cap where mine is just etched. Is this a size difference thing (50mL vs. 100mL) or a edp vs. edt. thing?
