Thread: Today i bought: April 2013
All this sandalwood talk on the boards...I couldn't resist this, I've wanted a bottle ever since I sampled it months ago:
Sandalo by Lorenzo Villoresi
"Until you practice surrender, the spiritual dimension is something you read about, talk about, get excited about, write books about, think about, believe in — or don’t, as the case may be. It makes no difference. Not until you surrender does it become a living reality in your life."
-- Eckhart Tolle
I really like Rume (save for the opening) but just can't imagine wearing it regularly. Fans of Michael Kors for Men owe it to themselves to try Rume.
I was very tempted to buy another bottle of Vikt when I placed the Parfum1 order. It is a terrific fragrance and right now it's my favourite of the house (sorry Ore).
And yes, there are a few of us around here making some noise about this house. There aren't many other perfumes I own with such tangible density. To steal a pretentious term from the oenophiles, Slumberhouse fragrances are 'chewy'.
Acqua di Gio Essenza. I like this one much better than the original.
Cabalero by Jean Louis Vermeil 100ml
Received my decant of Puredistance M from a PalmBeach split.
Leather Oud from Dior
Myself I bought a classic and a cheapy today.
YSL, Kouros........ at first hated it but now starting to respect it and understand it's appeal.
and cheapie based on solid reviews.
15 bucks a celebfrag in david beckham's intimately beckham. I find this smells almost identical to la nuit de l'homme yet sticks to the skin and has way less longevity. In many ways this is a bad thing but I kind of like it. I love la nuit de l'homme but it's so damn powerful that it's hard to find a place to wear it without trying to squirt half a spray here and there to not overpower people in the office lol.
intimately beckham could be the answer in close quarters.
100ml Amouage Interlude Man.
Yes! Just ordered vintage M7, 100ml.

Holy hell, I've had a great evening. Not only vintage M7, but just bagged a Vintage Dior Homme Intense to boot. I'm a lucky man.
Zero purchases in March + Cashing my state and federal refund checks = very active April. Let's start it off with a couple of mall purchases:
Dolce & Gabbana pour Homme by Dolce & Gabbana
Allure Homme Sport Eau Extrême by Chanel
Technically yesterday I bought:
Got 100mL bottle (95-97% full) for $100 shipped. No box, but that's fine.
80% full 1.7 oz bottle of l'artisan mure et musc for 36 bucks!!
Dior Ambre Nuit 125 ml
For the upcoming summer, Astier de Vittalle's Eau Fugace
Smelling good on a budget!
Smelling good on a budget!
Santino 100ml by Yves de Sistelle
Creed Royal Oud
Amouage Lyric Man
and I think I'll have bought Creed GIT by the end of the day!
Know how long it's been since I contributed to this thread?... DECEMBER! Yes yes I've been good.
I treated myself the other day and today my bottle of Indigo by Magnetic Scent arrived.
I've loved this for the last few months and knew it was time.
A high-pitched mastic fragrance with a screechy but clean rose, swampy hyacinth and an animalic undertone. Love it.
