Default D'Orsay's Creme de la Creme ???

I refer to the vintage D'Orsays in the subtly striped boxes.

I did not vote. The best of these, as you said, are in the old striped boxes. I prefer the EDT of Le Dandy.

L'Intrigante is a women's scent that was launched in 2010. There was no striped box version.

Arome 3 Tradition is discontinued, and also a good scent.

hednic, what's the difference between "Arome 3" and "Arome 3 Tradition" please ? As far as I can see "Arome 3 Tradition" was launched in 98......much later than the fagrance called "Arome 3". Was there a big difference, or is it exactly the same fragrance ? I have 2 bottles of Arome 3, one is a much older in a white box with black writing, (I posted a photo of it in an old D'Orsay thread a while back). The other is the square bottle in a green striped box. I don't think it had the word tradition on the box ? Unfortunately I can't check the box at the moment because it's in my Berlin apartment.

A completely different fragrance. Arome 3 Tradition came in a black box while the Arome 3 came in the green box.

Arome 3 is a traditional, aromatic lavender scent with some citrus and spice. Arome Tradition is a modern interpretation from 1998, I believe, that is a bit less soapy (if I recall correctly). Two completely different takes on the same type of scent with Arome 3 being more classic in approach (as it being much older). I recall liking Tradition better and wished I had a full bottle.

Thanks for explaining. I am not familiar with the tradition version in the black box. I certainly love Arome 3. It became my signature scent for a whole Summer. I always get a wonderful mint note in Arome 3 which is not listed.

Arome 3 is my favorite--a brilliant lavender fougere. Next up would be vintage Le Dandy.
