Thread: Is poivre 23 a blind buy?
I rarely blind buy, especially expensive decants like this one [ 30$ 10ml] but let's see what you guys think!
I love vanilla scents, eau des baux is one of my favorites[ the notes seem pretty similar ] and it is my first encounter with le labo.

Negative. Nice frag, but It has a smokey aspect to it that some people may not like.
No. I don't really think of it as a vanilla scent. If there is vanilla in there it is offset considerably by the pepper and incense scent in there. It is a good fragrance but definitely not one that everybody is going to enjoy.
I bought it blind and like it a lot. On me it smells like Labdanum 18 with pepper notes added. If that appeals to you, go for it. As others said, I would not say vanilla is a prominent note in this scent.
NO on a blind with Poivre 23.
I would go for it since you got a good deal. I blind bought a split and like it.
I'm'a agree with the majority of the peanut gallery here and say no.
I would say yes. It's my favorite Le Labo along with Patchouli 24. It's very likeable, and that's a great price.

...not if you smell it before you buy...!
