Default what's the best perfume for a traveler?

Gentlemen, I need your help in finding my signature fragrance.

I'm Asian, just turned 30 years old, lives in Hong Kong and working as a Flight Attendant in a 5 stars airlines that's based in Hong Kong.
As my job nature, I could travel from a tropical climate country to a cold one and than to an extremely hot middle east country just within a month. During the flight I have to interact with a lot of passengers and also colleagues.
I'd like something that is versatile that I could wear to work in-flight, and also when I am on my layover just hanging out with friends, chilling in the club or having a fine dinning dinner.
I personally like something that's elegant, yet smell sweet and youthful.

    Your suggestion is highly appreciated!

Please don't wear scent in flight. I would avoid airlines, 5 star (whatever that means) or not, if the attendants were perfumed (or at least perfumed to the extent that I could smell them).

Scent on the flight. Are you serious? You have 100's of people in close proximity you expect them to enjoy what you wear?
    Just take a nice shower.

Try Prada Homme or Prada Amber Pour Homme. For something lighter Cologne du Parfumeur (Guerlain) at Harvey Nichols Landmark or The One. Vetiver Tonka at Hermes boutiques might also be worth a shot - works for me when I'm travelling. These are all quality and not strident at all.

    Try somethings light.

By the way, I have been travel in airplans from an airline that provide perfumes in their toilet, it is really annoying, the scents they choose is quit offensive to my nose.

Whatever you choose, it should be very light and stay close to the skin.

For warm weather, or work environment, I like perfumes based on vetiver. They smell fresh, natural, and last a long time. The ideal would the $$$ Chanel Sycomore, which is fresh but also elegant thanks to a touch of woods and smoke. But other vetivers will work as well.

Check out Atelier Cologne. They make some very nice light and inoffensive fragrances, and offer them all in a convenient 1oz size (ideal for traveling).

I think it should be a note that isn't sharp.

It may be better if it were warm and embracing like amber.

Something very light or nothing. Acqua di Parma perhaps?

I would mirror what most everyone else is saying and recommend something light, fresh and close to the skin.

So you call ahead and check before you fly? Good for you.

Yes, he's serious. He asked a question. Until such time as his place of work determines employees should not wear fragrance he is perfectly entitled to wear one and seek advice about what to wear. Get over it.

Something like Gucci pour homme II perhaps. It is light, likable to many and difficult to overdose. Have never had any complaints about it from people I know have perfume allergy, they liked it actually

Azzaro Boarding (not in the directory, unfortunately) and Armani Emporio Armani Him - the bottle is quite sturdy and hard, not made of glass so there's no fear it'll break if it gets all bumpy, scent itself is quite versatile but cold in character.

Where in my post did I say that? Common sense my good man. I don't need to - They post on this website to let me know.

If that doesn't work, I use the standard procedure of voting with my wallet, so if I encounter something objectionable about an airline, be it the flight attendant's use of perfume or something else, I'd avoid using that airline again in future, where possible.

The only thing that kept me sane during my last long haul was what the hostesses were wearing. It was sweet, warmish and preferable to the smells of a crowded confined space. Something from Chanel or acqua di Parma should do the trick.

Something very weak and inoffensive. Last thing anyone on a long flight wants is to be assaulted by your scent whenever you walk by.

Hello Mr Sky, welcome to Basenotes.

You know, I've been doing a little flying lately and have wondered if airlines have a fragrance policy for flight attendants?
Does your airline actually instruct you as to how many sprays to wear? (ie maximum sprays)

I have noticed that flight attendants on Tiger Airlines are often wearing fragrance, but always lightly applied.
My guess is that they are wearing no more than one spray.
Perhaps these are the Tiger's rules?

    My choices would be:
    - Gendarme
    - Prada Infusion d'Homme
    - Voyage d'Hermes EDP

Actually... you mentioned sweet... if you like white musk a better choice may be Bulgari Pour Homme.
The muskiness also makes it a great fragrance for the layover.

All are pretty safe fragrances which are unlikely to offend passengers.
They are extremely versatile and handle the heat very nicely.
They are also reasonably priced for daily wear.

Penhaligons Opus 1870 smells wonderful and stays extremely close to the skin. Or just go light on application with anything you choose. Less is more. Especially when in close quarters.

There isn't one scent that will do all you want. Try something very subtle, yet classy for in-flight - like Bvlgari PH, Emporio Armani He or F Ferragamo - no customers should comment about them being too loud or intrusive.

Wear something louder for general use when not working.
    Cheers,
    Renato

The best smell on a flight attendent is no smell. I fly a lot and being in close proximity to flight attendents who wear heavy scent is a nightmare. If you must, go with something very light and fresh, like Chanel Eau de Cologne.

Most of the Kenzo's are very subtle. Give them a try.
