    Default Trouser droppers?

After seeing the lively discussion generated in the straight nose versus gay nose thread, the obvious question arises in my mind stream, "Hey, what about trouser droppers for gay guys?" Many of our straight brothers search for the perfect "panty dropper" that's guaranteed to drive women wild, but are there fragrances the gay male can wear to drive his fellow man-luvin'-man into a frenzy?

    For example, I've found

    • Creed's Royal Oud to be very friendly, warm, and sweetly snuggly (but not overtly sexual)
    • Montale's Dark Aoud to be raunchy-sexy (but not warm or friendly at all)
    • Tom Ford's Oud Wood to be super-seductive (but not on everyone)
    • Giorgio Armani's Bois d'Encens to be sexless, solemn, contemplative, and calming (great for church, meditation, and Deep Thinking)

PS. I don't really believe in "panty droppers", viewing all potential attractions as being very complex phenomena involving everything from your wardrobe to your hairstyle to your music choice and vocabulary...but it doesn't hurt to smell pretty, does it?

My personal trouser dropper is Rose 31 by Le Labo. Seriously.

Men are visual. A six pack (great body) and a well packed pair of trousers is more of a trouser dropper than any scent. Somebody one said that "the currency of being gay is youth and beauty...and I'm bankrupt."

I'm not gay, but if I smelled CDG 2 Man on another guy. I might question myself (kidding) but I think this would be very sexy on a man, I'm comfortable in saying that.

Alas, I haven't noticed any particular correlation - I only wish. But I keep trying with Rien or MKK.

Reportedly, in the 80s, Antaeus was the perfume of choice. It still seems a good choice.

What would definitely not work for me are marine perfumes. Whenever I smell one, I stay away.

I agree with cacio -- if I smell anything calone-dosed or obviously cheap on a guy, it's a turn-off. I've been around some surprisingly good ones, though, including D&G The One, which a dude was carrying well into an evening out (though he admitted he doused himself in it to get it to last).

Me, I've received big compliments from guys I've been intimate with when wearing the likes of CdG Jaisalmer, Vetiver Extraordinaire, and Cartier Declaration. So, spice, woods, and vetiver for me.

I don't think it will unless people get out of hand. There's about one hundred or so 'panty dropper' posts on the site, there's no reason this should get shut down.

The use of scent to make one desirable is a real marketing ploy. There is no magic potion fragrance to help you attract anyone. It's your charm and charm alone that attracts. Being well-groomed and smelling pleasant helps.

That said, orange blossom, indolic scents, vanilla and musks seem to elicit compliments.

    Keep mind everyone is different.

The only time I thought a guy smelled sexy (they usually smell too sweet or too musky(?). I'm straight though, so perhaps judge them more harshly than I would women) was one who wore a fresh, aquatic scent unknown to me.

Hot guy and pretty girl for gay and straight guys respectively. Others qualities such as perfume, style, income, social status, and personality are completely inconsequential when it comes to making a man drop his trouser

Yes, scent is only a minor factor at most. But it's only a bit of fun so here's a few I find 'alluring':

    DK Fuel for Men
    DHI/DH
    Declaration

Turn-offs: very sweet scents and aquatics, particularly if heavily-applied.

Well, that's not entirely true good style and good grooming are alway attractive even on average looking guys!

However, I noticed that Dior Homme and Dior Homme Intense get quite some male attention. I'm not a big fan of either, but I must admit they do the trick.
I always thought that Vetiver Tonka would be the perfect date scent, but I must admit I had very little positive side effects...

Most gay guys like on other guys the usual perfumes I guess, namely aquatic, gourmand and whatever is hip and/or widely available. I don't mind, I wear what I personally like and call me a romantic but I do believe that it's your style, confidence and charm that will attract most guys. Physical appearance is very important too, we're talking about guys here after all.
When I go hunting I do feel more confident wearing rather woody frags though.
